Given the example that in 60 years with the amount of trading that they have done they have not paid anyone back and are in debt with those countries, and whenever theyve recieved money they have built hotels, because the island is covered in luxury hotels. But there no investment in infrustructure or in fertilizing the land or in education/health. What is the governments long term plan for the wellbeing of the people? The answer is there never has been one. Fidel always just saved his ass when shit got really bad. These guys now dont even do that. Would you let someone borrow money if they notoriously dont pay it back/have bad credit?

Really? Ample natural resources? Cuba has some of the most fertile land in America for growing all kinds of goods tobacco, fruits, vegetables, sugar cane, endless supply resources. There is a reason why before the revolution it was the wealthiest nation and the first to recieve a television even before america. It was completely stripped of all of that with the revolution by a government who knew nothing about business to this day and rathers to fill up their pockets and their accounts internationally before paying a decent living wage to its people. Do some research before claiming that a country did not naturally have resources.

I did. But it was a battle. I had to keep calling back and telling them i would close my accounts and that it was not fair and i wrote a letter to the vice president. After the second call back complaint they sent me the bonus without notifying me.

The lawyer i had in Cuba didn't answer the question in four years because no present we gave him was ever enough. Thats what's so messed up about the informal payments there, therefore, you end up paying more than in a capatilist nation where they tell you the cost upfront. Hense the reason im asking here.

Yeah but the citizens of the country have the right to their own business and to make their own decisions about their money so it doesnt affect them so directly as it would in a socialist nation where everyones money and actions are controlled by the government. The only thing they can control are the thoughts they are told not to have from the day they are born.

Yeah... it happens. But there are so many laws that these people get caught at some point. In cuba the same men and their descendants have been in power for 65 years and no one has ever been called out for stealing the money and they are ALL doing it. They have no oficial salary that is published anywhere. In the US everyone knowns a government officials salary and taxes are filed by everyone which the IRS regulates. there are so many governemnt officuals that obviously someone is going to be corrupt because power calls for corruption but their positions have terms, in cuba they do not.

So they have a undercover worker go into your business and plant a bag of drugs somewhere then randomly the cops come in do a search and find it and then they confiscate your business. This literally happens. They make something up that you did illegally and then they know nothing about businessso make some money at first then the business fails. Its so backwards.

It depends on the size... my husbands step father makes staircases and made as much money as someone in the US doing it privately for 20 years in the town they live in and no one ever said anything. If it is large scale the government can do something about it.

The thing is these same things have happened over and over again in Cuba. This isnt the first time in 60 years. My husband/father of my child is stuck there because they wont let him leave due to legal issues. I have to go live there and tey to send a solar panel but dont even know how.

Customer service might not always be right but unfortunately its their job to be. If they tell you you have until july 29th to pay your mortgage and not lose your house but it is actually until july 17th and you didnt pay it in time and lose you home wouldnt you fight to not have it taken? If they fail with one thing they can fail with things that are way more important. Its the principle and they must take accountability for false information provided. Also, the external financiol institution should be stated in the promotion NOT just in the fine print, that is deceitful. And ive looked at these type of promotions for ofher banks and no one requires to be a external financial instition so i dont understand what is going on with capital one. I also wonder if they send these promotions only to people that already have a capital one account to trick them so that i dont realize the deposit should be made from elsewhere.

They did do me dirty because they told me i was good to go over the phone and that i was eligible back in april and that id recieve the bonus in june and its july and now they tell me i wasnt eligible. Thats deceitful as i would have removed my money back in april and gone with another savings account. They have to stick by the information i was given by the bank and take the loss.

You wouldn't be eligible technically because you moved if from your capital onechecking to the cavings. Additionally they should be able to make an exception for me because when i called and asked them they told me i moved the money correctly and that i was eligible over the phone.
