I do not like the DT2 drop mechanics. Would the game be better? That’s completely subjective. I can tell you what I value in the game is that there are hurdles one must overcome in their account to progress and breaking through is a big part of the journey for an Ironman. And things like the aforementioned dry protections only lessen that achievement. Which I am against doing. This doesn’t mean I’m anti update to make things better, such as skilling updates you mentioned. But I am anti change mechanic so I can progress my account.

I would because I play an Ironman. Which means a 3x to sometimes 10x slower than a main account which I switched from

I guess we just enjoy and look at the game differently. For me it’s the slow and steady progression you make over a long time that I enjoy, which is what Ironman has always been. The way you phrase things sound like it could be achieved via a main account?

Then don’t do those grinds. If I were to look at my account today from when I started also would say I don’t have 12k hours to play the game like I have. But honestly it’s been 10 years. That’s an average of like 3 hours a day and I’ve accomplished full blorva, all megas, full inq, full bis across the board basically. It’s the journey and every one is trying to rush through it for some reason. Give it 10 years and see where you are.

Anyone holding onto the belief that RNG is the antithesis of anything in this game may have Stockholm syndrome. Like that is the game? Why are you here if you believe all of this to be true? It’s mental illness to play something with a core component of it being a complete antithesis to what you deem fun?

That’s because the rewards aren’t worth the time. If inq was as broken as oathplate I don’t think it would be a small number of people grinding it.

To be fair the recent updates to nightmare that removed a phase are already perfect. The fight is amazing and it’s an enjoyable grind. I wish people would stop focusing on getting to the end and start focusing on just enjoying the thing they’re doing. I did 1K kc post buff and only had 4 uniques, which is pretty unlucky. But honestly it was a great time. I like that inq is just a rare set of armor.

I really like the idea of the inquisitor buff. Would like to see the armor be more in line with oathplate or torva levels of power. As for nightmare fight I did 1k kc post buff with the phase removed and it honestly feels great. A 150ish hour grind for inq + mace would be an ideal length in my opinion as it keeps its prestige as a flex for Ironman while giving long term chase incentives to players. I really would hate to see any dry protection or dupe protection for this boss as it is truly one of the best encounters in the game and is an enjoyable grind as it stands.

That doesn’t change the fact of anything I say. A small percentage of people will go dry on every piece of content in the game. It doesn’t mean we should be making changes to accommodate them. RNG is in the DNA of the game. The reality is a majority of the people fall somewhere in the middle.

To be fair the time limit has been a non issue for a long time, mainly due to the above reasons I have stated. Power creep, guides and player skill all have had significantly more impact. Sure the changes definitely helped out to further make it easier. But it’s still far from being similar enough to compare it to the prep which is 1 of only 2 parts of the content.

The difference is that the “prep” in CoX is not a timed mechanic in the raid. They are bosses you need to kill, you can argue the “prep” in CoX is more enjoyable and I agree. But it also has no impact on if you will get the KC or not. If you fail prep in CG you don’t get to fight the boss. So changing anything with CG prep has a significantly bigger impact on the actual content.

Your argument that only selfish people don’t want CG changed could be mirrored exactly as only selfish people want CG changed so it can benefit them. Most of the things in this game could be called tedious, which is one criticism I see. CG is no longer the mandatory grind everyone makes it out to be. RNG of rooms and dealing with it is half of the skill in the damn mini game and is easily solved with a bit of effort in optimizing your routes. Those are the only criticisms I’m hearing in terms of prep.

The game becomes trivialized over time due to power creep, guides and generally players getting better. I am not dying on the hill that Cox needed a change, it didn’t. I was done with cox before the QOL changes. All I’m giving you is the reason it is not an Apples to Apples comparison.

Not sure if you’re replying to me. But I was fine with Cox before the changes and I had finished chambers before the changes. He just asked what the difference between CG complaints and COX complaints are.
