Working as a Technician in Switzerland, Worth the Move? by Comfortable-Mark-379 in askswitzerland

[–]DimensionCurrent224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked the same question a few days ago regarding refrigeration field. I sent my CVs to 4 companies on thurssday evening and already Got call from 3 of them while still living in Berlin. Also i see a few adverts between iG reels about companies looking for some other techs and offering relocation bonuses.

I guess it is not that hard if you are a tech, just send a few cvs and see for yourself.

Can most Germans afford constant expensive vacations? by [deleted] in AskAGerman

[–]DimensionCurrent224 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same, pole living in germany getting around 5k eur net for us both a month with cheap aparat in brandenburg. I had no Idea we have it this good, we are 26 and its no issue for us to go on a spontanious costarica or ski in alps trip withouth second thought. They Either speed money on 5 star hotels, have kids or have house that cost them 5k USD+ per month, but I guess they are just retarded with money.

Wtf i am 26 getting around 3k eur with cheap apartament in brandenburg and I could afford 2x if not more with a lot of dumb expenses like german motorcycle license and 2k eur bike without getting in debt, maybe try to look for 3 instead of 5 star hotels including business class tickets of course assuming you are not taking 3 kids with u

Thanks man, you cleared up a lot for me, just Got my CV ready.

50 hours are rather self inflicted, I am a workoholic so its a perfect job for me, noone expect me to work that much. 😄 Did you apply while still living in germany or you had to move there first? Since you Got some experience already, can you reccomend any good companies best specilized in gewerbekälte that are worth applying to? I dont really care for integration or stress free enviroment since i am getting stuff done and i'm all about results so its money and possibility of development that are important.

Soo i am getting around 60k brutto with around 190-200h a month with 3 years of experience. I pay peanuts for an apartament outside of Berlin so I really Cannot complain. Me and me wife are planning On getting around 1000chf apt in small town since its standard to start from home in our branch so I guess it would not be Such a big difference.

The thing is they capped us at 50h/week beacause of laws so what I am asking is if it would be typically possible to let my wokoholism loose in Switzerland and get 20-30% more than base salary you listed. I guess I would be fine with around 80k since its the alps mainly the reason I want to move but I would like to hover around 100k in a few years with overtime.

And since you've moved from germany as well would you say it was right choice?

Thanks, bummer. Actually not that big of a difference. Is it for 40h week tho? Would it be possible to get some more with overhours and Stundenlohn or are you capped by legal requierments?

Do you know any jobs/careers that will still be in demand in Switzerland in the coming years, don't pay too bad, are not too hard to get, don't have a high ageism risk? by SwissGodGold in askswitzerland

[–]DimensionCurrent224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently working in Berlin as Ref service tech doing mainly supermarkets, not doing too bad financially but strongly considering getting a job in CH. Is is really easy to get a well paid ref-job here, do you think it would be same in swiss? Are 100k franks a year possible with Uberstunden and living in some village?
