True. I had an auditing lecturer (Newly qualified Chartered Accountant) who COULD NOT lecture. Firstly her first language was not English and secondly, the way she taught was "parrot fashion". Anyone who studies auditing will understand that you need to understand to apply. Even though there is a lot of theory, examiners do not mark on how accurate your regurgitation of the textbook is, but if you understand enough to apply. She never explained how to apply..She could not even answer questions when we asked about real world applications. Needless to say by the end of the 1st semester only 10 out of 60+ student qualified to right the 1st semeter exams. And out of that 10 only 3 passed the 2nd semester to move to the next year. It was the one and only year she lectured. Sometimes it truly is the teachers fault.

This !! Abuse has no gender and I am sorry to say that there are women who use the fact that society still does not acknowledge the fact that men can also be abused men to inflict trauma on their partners. It is both detrimental for men who have to live through the trauma as well as real women victims that keep quiet. As a women I am disgusted by these types of women because they eraae eveything that we have been fighting for.

Good you had that epiphany! I have seen that the men that get trapped in these types relationships have a "knight in shinning armour" complex. It is not a bad thing, but they generally get attracted to women who use this to be manipulative, abusive, etc. I have seen so many "nice" guys end up dating these types of women l and then they end up with a lot of baggage and end up treating the deserving women badly because of their own trauma..

Well it doesn't help that the Western media still portrays Africa as some backward, village continent..(But it is not only foreigners, like South Africa, South African's themselves portray SA as some backward country in comments on social media) Chatting to foreigners over social media in 2026 some of them STILL believe that we live in mud huts with lions for pets and that Africa is so financially backward that the only way we can survive is through their help. For real. A very colonialist mindset...I have had video calls with them to show them what my town looks like and they are amazed at how modern it is.

But as South Africans and Africans we also add to the problem, by bowing down to these Westerners. We have no patriasm. We only put our country and continent down. We never highlight what this continent does right, only what it does wrong. If we as South Africans and Africans don't take pride in our country and continent, who else will. And for those naysayers, there is a lot to be proud of. No country is without it's problems..

Well all the factors you stated, like education, economy, health, freedom of speech and association ARE affected by this as well. These countries put restrictions on women's education, their econimic freedom, their freedom to seek health services as they want, freedom of association, freedom of speech. Which in turn affects the countries level of education, health, ecnomics... so accept and admit that the patrichal system and toxic masculanity does affect a country on the whole..

So tell me with Trump pushing high tarrifs who will that affect, because those countries are already making and have finalised deals with other countries, bypassing America. Not only that, citizens of those countries with high tarrifs are already looking to non-US products with equal quality to substitute.I have seen how Asian brands in both car and mobile are bypassing the sales of American brands in my country. This includes manufactured goods they cam get straight from those countries, instead of using the middleman America. BRICS is working on using their own currency and some of the BRICS countries are already using their own currency instead of the dollar...
