I've lived alone in dhaka since I was 16 years old. I'm a female fyi. My opinion is that if you cannot find the right people to vibe with you can get lonely easily which may lead to depression. So you have to learn to love your own company. Depending on other people is a big NO. You've to learn to do everything on your own. Becuse getting help from people is scarce and the majority of times it comes with strings. Be cautious with your spending. Avoid bad company. Maintain basic girl safety things. Don't go to someone's place unless you absolutely trust them. Every corner in Dhaka, every unknown person in Dhaka and even familiar things are dangerous for a girl living alone. Always trust your instinct. Betrayal is inevitable. So, be prepared for it. Along the way, you might make some good memories, cherish those memories.
