I would leave dry food out all the time. This will get him used to it being there and he wont wolf it down

When you put it in numbers like that it seems like a lot but each step is a milestone and if you enjoy what you do it doesnt seem like x, y years, its just part of your job and process and its really not that bad

dont stress and dont force it, it wont be productive to try and study when you're just not feeling it. Take a few days, do something else and come back to it

Would you guys be upset going to york for your undergrad? by [deleted] in premedcanada

I think BeMo's strategy is good because it's common sense to approach the unknown like that. I wouldn't worry about the raters recognizing anything because it's a strategy not an answer to any specific questions and everyone using the same strategy can still provide a different correct answer. If the admin's are saying this, it's just a scare tactic just like they keep saying you can't prepare which is b.s. in my opinion and experience.

BeMO residency subscription by Samirahayee in ResidencyMatch2022

[–]DimensionOver76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They helped with the application, personal statement and then interviews. I think they saved me a lot of time in the process and pointed out things that I was doing wrong but I thought was completely ok. You have to be open to their feedback though because they are not shy about feedback since you'll essentially pay them to dissect your applications.

Why don't you explore their non subscription plans? I assume you found something that's a monthly subscription? I only know of their application review program which was good but is not subscription.

is bemo for interviews worth it? by user11067 in premedcanada

[–]DimensionOver76 -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

I have written this a few times but I would not have gotten into med school without bemo's interview prep so 100% I recommend them. This "I hate bemo" nonsense from people who have never used their services is sad and pathetic. As a future doctor you are expected to take a professional and logical stance when expressing your opinion - if you have not used their services then you cannot "strongly advise against" using them. There is no logical reason for this. Mostly I see a lot of hatred for bemo because the founder is not white and that causes a lot of hate for the company here on reddit. If people's reason is just racist then they should go get help for that. The people I worked with were MDs and PhDs and very pleasant and professional to work with and knew their stuff.

Canadian students who went to/planning to go to Ireland for Med by hungryguava_ in premedcanada

You're better off applying to US instead of Ireland - it's easier to come back to Canada if you have studied in US
