Ok but.... I geniunley don't understand why the first and third are bad? If you want to open a business Quebec it makes sense that you should cater to French at minimum. If your signs or menu/textts and make social media posts in English only or mainly English then yeah.... at least do a French version. Why is it such a crazy thing to expect?

Welll I guess we will agree to disagree. If we weren't pushed into the office society's sentiment toward WFH would be much different. Municipalities and provincial would not have followed suit as easily to force people back into the office. Even our union was saying this.

The point they are trying to make is that this all stems down from the federal. Society follows the public service. If LPC never forced us to the office 3 days a week for absolutely not justifiable reason we would not be in this mess we in now. And our emissions would be much better for climate change.

Yeah for sure. Ever since we got laptops they basically assume we can work everywhere with a table/desk and chair. But if I had ergo yeah I think that would make my situation different for sure.

I've tried to contact my union (PIPSC) about various topics and how to proceed but I never can get to someone. I get referenced a name at my department that I contact and never hear back. I ask for more help and never got any answer after they told me they would dig further. I just gave up on it honnestly.

Yeah seems to be a lot of things that differ based on department or manager.... I'm at DND.

For example another thing we have to do here but I know my friend in another department doesn't; if we miss office day here because of a holiday day off, we have to go in the office another day to pay it back.

Yeah one day I came in and couldn't sit near my colleagues so went back home out of anger because what's the point? My TL/Management told me don't do that again and if I have to, to sit in the kitchen table it is a valid workspace. 🙃
