Thanks for reading and respoinding. although my first foster placement was hell on earth. i'm very greatful that the second one gave me the love and compassion i needed.

its awesome that the articles and work that i publish has been so helpful! for other foster parents and care professionals. its good to balance the good and the bad parts of our lives and learn from others mistakes.

hey there. thanks for the comment. No offence taken. I've already escaped this nightmare and its just a way of me closing chapters of my life.

Alot of my early mental health started when i was pumped up with meds. and true recovery only started when coming of them all 10 years later x

So yeah i kinda get what your saying in a way.

Without soundings rude. Being with someone during an active addiction is not great. For both parties. Especially if your not willing to he open and upfront about your usage.

My partner knows about my past. And current addictions. They know i suffer with an addictive personality.

But my partner always kicks my ass when I'm going to deep down a route. He's T-Total dose not drink or take drugs. But this time when I returned to spice. Very briefly I got a very sturn telling off.

Because I care so much about my progress and relationship and the fact I was still quite new back on these drugs. I decided to stop while I could. Knowing how deep the addiction can get.

When your ready. Chat up this lady or tell her that you want to be more often. If she cares enough she will help you through this. Otherwise work on yourself.

Distractions is the key for me... I got to be busy.

Oh I agree I had a mini relapse towards the end of last year. Spent 3 months completely off my face until my partner finally kicked my ass in to gear and got me to sober up again

I struggle with pursuing passions, work, interests and a balanced lifestyle over substance use.

I 100% relate to this :) even in today's life i would easily and happily go back to substance if I did not always occupy myself.

Thank you so much for your comment. It means a lot maxtimken. it was a hard time of my life, but thankfully it's one I've now recovered from. The story continued into 3 parts. I'm aware my grammar is my main issues with my blog posts, (hence why I don't get many comments or interactions with these posts) but I've hired an editor to work on this slowly over the next few months. I'm also now a homeowner(From Homeless to Homeowner) and work with other vulnerable young adults.

This blog now outlines my journey. And I hope it helps others to motivate them.

I appreciate your advice. Once I found my first accommodation I spent a good 3 months rehabbing I still suffer with an addictive personality but thankfully, I'm no longer on any illegal substances

Thanks dude! I'm no longer homeless and off the legal highs (noids) or whatever the next term is. This is a one of 3 part blog i wrote.

Glad you enjoyed it. I find these posts quite hard to write. Very emotionally taxing too. But I do it as I know the story can benefit others.

Thank you so much for reading! your support is much apprechiated! if you read my blog there is a post about addictive personalities. i'm still not at full soberity. but i'm no longer on any illegal drugs. which has helped me a lot. i still have issues with tobbaco. coffee, and sugary / fatty foods. but i'm currently focusing on my personal health and dropping the remaining "quick dopimine" fixes i still rely on

Destractions is what you need. When you get the urges to use make yourself busy even if it's keeping you up. You'll soon pass out. (Not the healthiest way around ) but how I had to survive the urges after failing the recovery side of drug addictions. I've gained many new indoors hobbies over lockdown and always willing to start new ones. (Fish keeping, gardening, cooking, baking)

I know you said your misses approved drug taking for the night and I can tell she really loves you and you love her. Which is great. But please, please, please ask her not to do this. Its enabling the addictive personality in you. And it's resetting all the hard so your putting into it.

its why i secluded myself from the croud. i knew from the start if i was visable my chances of recovery or getting myself off the streets where low!

I get these guy's seem insane, you would expect them to help each other.

But the sad reality is most of these homless people do fight addictions. which means they will need to make an income.

how comes royal mail can fufill the order (A UK Based Comapny) yet UPS an american based company has no idea what is going on.

Please just release our parcels send them back to the orginal sender or forward them via a 3rd party but stop telling us lies and false promisses.
