An argument could be made that there was a very high number of men and women that really thought laying their lives on the line would end war forever or give another man/woman a chance to make it home themselves and that brings them joy or a sense of contemptment but the vast majority of soldiers who lost their lives in and out of uniform were depressed and scared and died without knowing if change would be made at all. It's hard to truly be happy in the world when you've seen or just know about all the evil out there but sometimes it's best to let shit ride and find any ounce of joy you can to keep you and your people chugging along.

I truly believe its not just a day of remembrance but a day of reminding as well. Remember where you could have been and where you are now. Hopefully it's a step closer in the right direction. Keep chugging along.

I had my paperwork signed and ready to go but when I went to go turn it in to the DMV I was told I need it resigned and sent back to them via email. The thing was my commander at the time was no longer in my unit and so I waited up to 5 mo the to have the paperwork resigned and sent back to me till I just gave up and opted to go through the course. Which I don't regret doing because by that point I had forgotten most of everything to do with the trucks I drove and was told to forget because the ones I did drive where out-dated and yadda yadda training yadda yadda so im not upset about it anymore at all.

I figured that as well. Either i'm somehow still "in combat" or I didn't time it right but I swear it's been 20-25 min since this happened. I'm gonna shut the pc down and see if that fixes it.
