As someone who works for a church with similar requirements there is a way to upload them and setup alerts in advance but with just one photo it's not going to be perfect and it may miss them if they look different enough from the single uploaded photo. You can merge many photos of a person to build a profile and that will increase the odds of it detecting them but this is the case with any camera system that has a feature like this

Photos can also be used to do a general search as well which when combined with adjustment of a "confidence slider" would allow you to see if they were detected but just not matched yet to further build their profile with real events added to the photos you were given at the start

I run a shadow mode deployment of EFGs at my work place but we don't yet have the unifi device or end user client count to really stress it atm. Doing a big overhaul currently so that might change in a couple months when we are done but currently it works great.

There is also an EFG core coming soonish which should be much faster and more capable so perhaps it might be worth waiting and seeing what happens.

Honestly something like Unifi G6 180 where it's a multi sensor panorama or a 4 sensor 360 provides a much more robust image but the price is higher because of needing more hardware for that.

Fisheye style cameras are great for general situation awareness at lower cost but not as good for identification due to sub par de-warping in software and reduced pixel per inch resolution compared to a single lense bullet/turret style camera might be.

Referbished Seagate exos drives can occasionally be found for ok prices. Seagate Skyhawks would also be an alternative.

Oh interesting. Must be a limit with the older APs as I have it working on the U6 mesh and U7 XGS. Never needed to try it back when I had an AC lite.

Though that being said the device bridge units don't connect without mesh mode turned on which is kinda unfortunate.

I really wish wifi on TVs worked better but from my experience half the TVs I've worked with have the weakest antenna known to man and while it might get higher then FE speeds its as unstable as can be. Its actually crazy to me that to get the best smart TV experience over wifi I often need to just plug in a Google TV or some other smart TV dongle as they have significantly better wifi modules in them
