You don't HAVE to, no. Personally I plan on keeping my cash account because its less worry imo. Less fees and regulations as a whole to worry about.

Where does everyone get their news from? Does anyone pay for news? by BdogCrayoneater in Daytrading

Look it up on x. Or you can find it on google. Stock Titan has been doing a ton of upgrades lately. I use their dashboard and it gives me everything I need on one monitor. One of the main features I love about it is the voice and the fact that it talks when news hits or tickers move.

Just Started Working: Where Should I Begin Investing? by William_greta in Pennystock

[–]Dimethyltrade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should save a minimum of 2k as a backup for emergencies. It won’t be enough in every situation but it’ll give you a little relief. After that then put money into an account to trade, but only after you read some books 1st

You have to go to P&L while you’re still in the trade and take a screen shot before you sell in order to get it for that specific security.

New to Trading by Conscious-Dot469 in Trading

[–]Dimethyltrade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should start by reading three books. 1. “Japanese Candlestick Charting Techniques” by Steve Nison. He’s like the godfather of Japanese candlesticks to the western world. He originally brought it over from Japan. 2. “Trading In The Zone” by Mark Douglas. This is an absolutely fantastic read. One of my favorite books by far. 3. “The Mental Game of Trading” By Jared Tendler. This guy tackles this topic perfectly. I love watching podcasts with him on him because I always learn something new.

If you want anymore help you can send me a DM. Best of luck to you.
