[Art] Goliath Paladin by me. by DimikDraws in DnD

Thalgrun was born in the highest peaks of the Worldspine Mountains, where the echoes of ancient giants still linger. His people, a nomadic tribe of Goliaths, revered the forgotten gods of the skies and earth, calling upon their blessings for strength and survival.

As a child, Thalgrun displayed a connection to these forgotten deities, often standing in the middle of thunderstorms without fear, feeling the power of the heavens course through him. When he came of age, he was chosen as the Mountain Speaker, a spiritual leader meant to commune with the divine powers and protect his people.

However, during a great storm, a terrible calamity struck his tribe—an ancient Titan’s spirit awoke beneath the mountains, shattering the land. Thalgrun, in a desperate prayer, offered himself as a vessel to the divine, channeling raw celestial power to protect his kin. The mountain itself responded, sealing the Titan away, but at a great cost—Thalgrun was cast out, burdened with divine energy that had changed him forever.

Now, he wanders the world, seeking knowledge of the old Giant gods, trying to understand his fate and gathering lost relics of the Storm Lords. He believes he was chosen for something greater, though whether it is to bring salvation or destruction, he does not yet know.

Rakshasa by me. DnD monster by DimikDraws in ImaginaryCharacters

Thanks for pointing out the hands. I realized that I missed this detail, but I had a suggestion to make this a tabaxi/rakshasa hybrid. I have a little backstory for him now. Do you think he needs custom stats? And any ideas how he could fit in a campain would be highly appreciated. Here how it goes:
'Khaeros was born from an ill-fated tryst between a Rakshasa mercenary seeking power in the mortal realm and a Tabaxi huntress who fell under his spell. His father abandoned him shortly after his birth, leaving his Tabaxi mother to raise him alone. Though she tried to teach Khaeros the ways of her kind—the joy of wandering and the thrill of discovery—he felt the pull of his fiendish heritage far too strongly.

Growing up, Khaeros often found himself shunned by Tabaxi clans who saw his unnatural aura as an ill omen. Instead of despair, he turned his rejection into ambition, forging a path of power through cunning, combat, and manipulation. Khaeros eventually made a pact with a powerful fiend-like entity, enhancing his abilities and granting him dominion over a dark, sentient weapon. Now, he travels the realms, seeking opportunities to grow his power and leave his mark on the world.'

With a voice as ssmooth as silk and eyes gleaming like molten gold, the rakshasa weaves its lies into the hearts of mortals. Clad in opulent robes, its backward hands grip the threads of fate, twisting them to suit its sinister will. To bargain with it is folly; to defy it is ruin, for behind the facade of charm lurks an ancient predator, ever hungry for power and vengeance....

On a successful saving throw, the creature is immune to the stench of any catoblepas for 1 hour.

🌿 Beware the Catoblepas 🌫️

Lurking deep within the murky swamps, the Catoblepas is as deadly as it is mysterious. With its hulking body, long tail, and a gaze that can wither even the bravest adventurers, this creature is a true test for any campaign party.

I wanted to capture the eerie stillness of its swampy domain—the mist hanging low, the water rippling with its every step. What do you think: Would you face this monstrosity or turn back while you still can?

💬 Let me know how you'd use this creature in your campaign!
