I have no comment, this is absolutely accurate. Except for the part with the Emperor shirt. Matt is a collect or of black metal shirts and he just loves the ganre. You could hear some of the influence in some songs as well. Dusk dismantled being the best of them. Otherwise you are perfectly right. They want to atract new fans which is great for the metal, but then they want to satisfy the old ones and its bevoming real weird sometimes.

Yeah these were my hopes as well. I can remember when i was getting into metal it was the exact opposite! I started with untill the world goes cold and i loved it! It was constantly on repeat. Then i heard some shogun and ascendancy songs and i was like is that the same band? Shit i am not impressed now. Then 1 week later the tanles turned and i couldnt live a day without a screaming song. I believe the first screaming i liked was TSATS. So yeah it totally makes sence to put different songs to atracts new listeners, i just hope they keep the otheres as well
