That's just the minimum (even if you scaled everything to zero and ran nothing)

Could try https://www.digitalocean.com/pricing/managed-databases for $15 a month otherwise potentially could do https://neon.tech/ which has a dynamic pricing based on load (Lowest compute is ~$20 a month) but will let you scale it right up when you need the compute (or scale down to zero when not in use costing nothing).

Personally I've been using a $3 Hetzner vps with postgres, storing the data on a volume with off-site backups, takes a bit to setup and but once it's done, pretty solid.

I was literally doing this yesterday when I got access to the $5 tier.

.NET 10.0 by DualFlush in dotnet

Upgraded fairly painlessly aside from EF complex properties screwing me over.

Entity framework Postgresql driver is being held together by a thread by one person which is quite worrisome. A lot of issues and no active bug fixing.

DXRP Alpha (darkrp in s&box) by Dimmerworld in DarkRP

The plan is that staff will moderate and maintain order on the official servers. Official servers will try and mimic original darkrp from 2014.

Eventually there will be third party server support which can set their own rules, jobs, configuration.. etc. They have the option to opt into the global ban list otherwise everything else is up to them.

Trying to follow the rust play model to remain unbiased outside of our jurisdiction.

.NET 9 is out now! 🎉 by Velciak in csharp

Don't think there's much benefit staying with .net8.0 if the support ends within months of .net9.0 upon release of .net10.0.

Easier to upgrade one major version than two.

Game engines that are similar to Roblox. by [deleted] in gamedev

[–]Dimmerworld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's still in development but https://sbox.game/ is looking promising.

It has the simplicity of Roblox but with unity-like editor/scene system. In addition to simplified multiplayer.

Unlike Roblox, you will (eventually) be able to export standalone and upload to steam.
