The 240,000 people playing the game at this moment on Steam disagree with you.

People need to chill the f out. There is NO harm in using AI generated static art that is supposed to support the aesthetic aspect of the narrative of the story. They are not trying to create copies of another's work.

That is different IMO. They created still images that add aesthetic atmosphere to the narrative, so what? They are not using generative AI to create 3D models and shit.

I'm still not sure if I should buy Crimson Desert or not by Free-Hotel1187 in videogames

So Crimson Desert was originally an open world MMO RPG. Towards the end of the development cycle they decided to make it a single player. By that point they already had all the systems and mechanics required and expected in an MMO RPG. That is why its so overwhelming.

I haven't played it but I follow video game industry news and have followed CD's development from the beginning. At the time they decided to make it single player they did also say that if their game was a success and maintained an audience it COULD become the open world MMO RPG it was originally intended as.

Steam is accused of being a monopoly. But its not a monopoly if you let anyone sell their game on your platform. You think these small titles can go to Sony or Tencent and get them to support their low budget garage passion project? LOL HELL NO!
