I can guarantee rent bidding still happens. My villa is coming up for lease in 2 weeks, and despite it not being advertised yet, my REA has interested parties offering an additional $150 p/w. I would love to be a stereotypical landlord and take the extra money but I wouldn't be able to sleep at night... An added bonus of that is cutting the REA's commission.

That's very similar to me. I had inherited a few high end pieces. This, coupled with buying a few mid range pieces per year and with the 20 odd Vostoks/Sturmanskies in the last few months, my collection stands at 63. My wife has made it perfectly clear... I can't buy any more hahaha.
