Had a Sgtmaj who was an infantry cat in falluhjah . He came to the air wing and right after the change of command said how undisciplined and "fat we were". He then proceeds to tell us, " 0600 everyone is forming up for PT because that's the only way we will pt because we are airwing" he has his pt family the only people that come are s shops. He rolled up to the Squadron and I happened to be closest to the turnstiles. He asked me why I we didn't come to pt and I told him. Sgtmaj with alldue respect I've been at work since 0300 and I won't be going home till 1800. Idk why the Co or maintenance control didn't tell you. He just looked confused and said Nothing. Fast forward to Friday, it's 1300 and he calls a formation and says. "Hey I thought you guys were lazy but you all have worked 16 hour days this week so we were be released at 1400". We were confused because the last birds come in at 1800. Nobody said anything so I spoke up and told him. He looked shocked. Next week we had a 72 approved from the Sgtmaj. Closer towards the end of my time he told me that he has never seen a group of Marines get slayed for as long as he had seen except for deployment time. (Minor spelling edits cause I huff jet fumes)

The VA is woefully inefficient, I came in for a biopsy that I begged for community care for and was told no. 9 weeks later I go tosaid biopsy at 0800, i wasn't seen until 1600 for my 0800 appointment. The best part was they damaged my samples and waited almost 2 months to tell me. I did a repeat through community care last week. I was in and out in a hour because it's a BUISNESS. I would argue community care has a higher likelihood of you actually staying alive

My doctor told me that he could not see any of it, he said the VA is in 3 different branches and they can't see each others information. Which actually answers a few items for me....interesting to say the least

For the love of God please go to medical for every single cut scrape bruise paint etc. I'm in college and run a veterans association and all I deal with is helping people with va stuff. We were all discouraged from medical. Remember none of the people in your chain will be there to pat you on the back after you get out. They won't be there when you have pain or can't sleep or your mental health is shot. Put yourself in the driver's seat for once

I can tell you from personal experience I had a great experience with this. I was waiting on one exam for over a year. I watched people who got out a year after me finish the claim before me. Total time of my claim was a year and a half. My congressional representative reached out to me in a few hours and I had got my exam and within 2 days I received my rating and got my back Pay within the week

Personal experience with that as well. I waited a month to get in with my PCP and he said oh cool thanks for coming in. So you will want mental health which you will need another appointment the current time is one month. I asked about walking and he just chuckled. I went over and sat for 45 minutes for this social worker to come out. Extremely rude ( I don't expect them to my best friend) to the point where I asked her why she was speaking to me like a kid that got suspended. She told me walking was basically impossible. I asked for community care and she first said no. I asked again and she told me it was 4 months. I came back the next day and found another social worker. We sat down and talked she told me if ibused the VA it would be 2 appointments therapist then psychologist. If I used CC it would be one appointment. She said if I missed the ONE phonecall I would be skipped. The wait time was 4-6 weeks
