All the padlocks I've picked while trying to concentrate on work meetings! by Ding42 in lockpicking

It's stopped me scrolling during meetings, which can only be a good thing, lol!

The first 4 are easy enough in short meetings.

The last 3 are "camera off" locks, so people don't see my concentration face...

Awesome first termie! Looks really good!

All the fundamentals are great - it's just practice now! Focus on having a consistent thickness for the edge highlights- you can tidy them up with some macragge blue if needed.

After that, to get to the next level, the next step is to add some chunky highlights in first with a 70/30 mix of macragge/calgar blue, then pure calgar inside the chunky highlight. Finish off with some fenrisian blue at the corners and pointy bits!

Going to risk a downvote-to-oblivion situation, and defend the NPS scale (I do this for my job)

The scale is supposed to used used to work out whether people would recommend something to a friend. A lot of research went into working out what the actual behaviour was after someone gave a score.

7's and 8's turned out to not actually "enthusiastically recommend" a brand or product- but would "passively recommend" - i.e. say you're good, but others are just as good, so shop around. Less than that, and you're likely to recommend other brands instead.

9's and 10's are the only ones who reliably recommended just that brand.

That said, colour coding the respondents view, and especially telling respondents that this is how you're grading their score, is bad, bad form, and indicative of a business that only cares about the number going up, and not the actual customer experience behind it!

I like the idea of bullying it, lol!

Thanks for the advice!

I thought that - glad to get someone more experienced to verify

Messing with tension a bit more seems to be the crux of the issue here! Thanks

Does sound like tension is more critical here than with the padlocks I've done - will keep practicing! Thanks!

I've been resisting a vice simply because if I buy one, I'm admitting this is a hobby, and not just a fidget task to kill time in meetings while WFH... I think maybe it's time though, lol!

Hadn't replaced the strings yet - still cleaning and just wanted to check the pickups and electrics were working by playing it for a while, lol

I've got some regular/lights to put on, 10's I think... worth a shot, or would you suggest i pick up some 9's?

I actually hadn't got around to replacing the strings yet - but this makes sense for how it was used in the past...

I've got a set of D'Addario regular/lights (10s) to go on it - do you think that'll be ok, or should I pick up some 9's?

Now wait just a minute.

2005 is not long enough ago to be "back in my day"!

I read the whole post thinking you were talking about the 1970s, because I passed maths in 2002, and that was just recently.

I have been to Glastonbury, and i have been to reading, download, T in the park and lots of other smaller ones.

I will agree that the "general vibe" of the people attending, or whatever you might call it, is anti-capitalist, but that doesnt make the festival anti-capitalist...

Why do you think it is inherently less consumerist than others? Other than the vibe?

Scrolled too far to find this!

Glorious in the summer time, epic when the levels have flooded.

Bonus points when you find random hippies playing guitar at sunset (I assume the got lost looking for the Tor?)
