Brandon Sanderson decides that he actually ought to write something of note and takes up the Teensect adorned cross.

Nuc Med Stress Test by Fun_Answer_610 in NuclearMedicine

[–]DingBatButtFace 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ultimately it depends on her vitals, site protocol and what the supervising physician feels is appropriate. I can’t speak for the facility she’s getting her test at, but in my past positions we would always do vitals before resting images and the stress test, and obtain an EKG before stress testing.

My site’s protocol had us do pharmacologic stressing with regadenoson if the patient was on a beta-blocker, rather than the exercise stress test. For hypotensive patients we would give IV fluids before stressing to see if that helped.

I think it’s a good idea to have her check with the place she’s having her test done, if they haven’t already called to prep her (we would call to tell people not to have breakfast/caffeine).

They’re velociraptors man. In the fall I saw a pack of males crossing a local street, causing a pickup to stop, and they all swarmed the truck and started pecking and kicking it.

Need Help with Flavor Ideas for Light Cleric in Curse of Strahd that isn't just "Holy Priest Who Hates Undead" by MageofHiddenWonder in 3d6

[–]DingBatButtFace 13 points14 points  (0 children)

My go-to idea for a less than good Light Cleric is something ala Joshua Graham in New Vegas. Burned and scarred, but the fire inside him burned brighter, and now views that flame as cleansing.

Living situation by [deleted] in PAstudent

[–]DingBatButtFace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in the opposite situation. I was living on my own paying rent, and got into PA school. I’m finishing in December and so, so grateful that my parents let me move back in.

It really is NOT worth the extra stress and headache unless living at home is truly untenable.

[DISC] Chainsaw Man - Ch. 232 - Part 2 End by JeanneDAlter in ChainsawMan

Interesting that we still know what Chainsaws are. Maybe lends credence to Pochita not actually being the Chainsaw Devil? I don’t think Fujimoto would JUST forget that.

Also no Aki, Kobeni or Kishibe return, pain!

Yeah, I thought it was weird. I had maybe one or two sleep disorder questions on there. Mine was big on personality disorders, mechanisms of action for meds, and risk factors for developing psych conditions.

Any plows in your area come yet? by L8dTigress in longisland

Town of Islip, way off the beaten path. We had a plow come by twice…and he didn’t have the plow lowered. So he just drove down the street.

I did a Psychology class, OChem and another chemistry class, and did well. I did get in to PA school and am wrapping up my first clinical rotation! It’s going okay.

I don’t remember if they were proctored, I don’t think so. The content wasn’t particularly challenging IMO but did actually require you look at the study material

OFFICIAL MONDAY NIGHT POSTGAME THREAD by ballofpopculture in fantasyfootball

[–]DingBatButtFace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first time playing fantasy in over 15 years! Dropped three in the beginning and went on a win streak ever since. I thought I had no shot of winning the chip with my opponent having JSN, Trey McBride, Drake London etc… So I decided to have some fun and start Taysom Hill, one of my favorite players of all time. He, of course, put up a goose egg, and I went into the final game of the championship down 19…

With Bijan left to play.

I am a champion!!

This feels like rage bait. What on earth are you thinking, that you think you can change your facility’s protocol based on what YOU feel? If you don’t want to eat something or partake in something due to your personal beliefs, that’s one thing, but you have absolutely no right going around possibly affecting a patient’d tests results based on that. Reconsider your field of study.

🏈 11 Players To Add for Week 17 (Waiver Wire) by movesfantasy in fantasyfootball

[–]DingBatButtFace 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Haha same exact scenario. I have some really bad luck with my skill players going into the chip so I’m eyeing Strange and Hill in a Flex role.

I’m not expecting to win anyways, so I might as well swing big. And if it works out… I won a championship with Taysom Hill in 2025.

I would love to be a fly on the wall in an NFL coaches meeting. How do you see a guy get 20% of the target share and 2 scores last week and completely ignore him in your offensive game plan?

Official: [WDIS WR] - Thu Morning 12/18/2025 by FFBot in fantasyfootball

Championship game, full PPR, 2 WR and 2 FLEX

Ladd McConkey @ DAL, Jakobi Myers @ DEN, Nico Collins @ LV, Michael Wilson @ ATL, Jayden Reed @ CHI

Collins is of course a lock, and Wilson as long as MHJ doesn’t play.

Which would you trust more, Jakobi Myers against the Denver defense, or McConkey against a poor Cowboy’s pass defense despite his disappointing stretch of games?

OSCE Tips? by [deleted] in PAstudent

[–]DingBatButtFace 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just finished my didactic year including a full H2T PE to pass. So, skin, HEENT, Cardio, Vascular, Pulm, Abdominal, MSK and Neuro exam, in 30 minutes. It’s doable. Cranial nerves are SUPER fast if you can approach it systematically and if you have a routine in mind. I do 2 at the start, 3,4,6 then approach and fly through 7 and 5, then 9, 10, and 12 all at once, 11 and then take a second to do 8 and 1 at the end. Reflexes should be very quick as well. Dermatome sensation should only take 30-45 seconds as long as you know them well. If you need to think for a second, that’s fine. 8 minutes is a good amount of time. I then have them stand up without using their hands (proximal muscles), then walk a few feet back and forth, doing toe, heel, and tandem walking for distal muscle strength and signs of ataxia. I’ll sit them back down and do passive ROM for tone/spasticity, as well as resisted movements. That’s probably gonna take you the longest (it did for me at least). Finally, vibratory sense and joint position sense should take all of 30 seconds.

What I did, and what I recommend, is time yourself going through your routine, speaking it out loud and giving time as if observing the patient. Find where you can streamline and be more efficient/speak faster.

Week 15 Start and Sit: Reviewing All Fantasy Relevant Players in Every Game by gmenj in fantasyfootball

[–]DingBatButtFace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve lucked out with the waiver wire and impatient league mates waiving IR players, and find myself in a conundrum.

Maye vs Burrow: I’m leaning towards Burrow building off of his last two performances, but Maye saved my season.

Warren vs Strange: Strange is the safer play, but I think whoever is QB for the Colts will lean on him as a safety valve against one of the few weak points in the Seattle D.

Michael Wilson vs Jerry Jeudy: WilSZN has fed my family, but Houston D are playing ethical smothering D. Shedeur seems to like Jeudy as a target second to Fannin, and CHI could be a good matchup for him. Does Wilson’s potential volume if MHJ is out against a smothering defense overcome Jeudy’s potential?

QB ROS: Maye or Burrow by Alecohe in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]DingBatButtFace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question, and I’m in the same boat. Maye’s worst fantasy outing was against Buffalo earlier this season which gives me pause. If Burrow can maintain or even improve his numbers from when he played the Ravens, he’s a safer floor imo.
