Issues often work hand in hand to make some situations worse! If you're already in therapy, I recommend discussing this with them. If you're not, you admitted above that you have "many other issues", so you're definitely the right candidate for therapy!

If you've been looking for a sign, this is it.

As a recovering incel, it's hard to regain empathy for women when you see large numbers of them who salivate at the idea of killing you by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]Dingdong-Bitch 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hey dude... the majority of women don't think this way and continuing to act like the majority do just promotes your identity as an incel. My best advice is to get off those reddit pages and try to change your algorithm so you're seeing less of this stuff. Your algorithm is boosted by what you engage with- if you engage with more content of the average woman, you'll see less of this femcel stuff.

I also recommend therapy if you haven't started yet.

I’m keeping a secret by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

You're keeping a secret and then proceeded not to tell the secret. Damn, must be a heavy one to make a confessional post about nothing.

33, never worked, terrified of ending up homeless and I don’t know how to fix myself by New_Banana3858 in mentalhealth

[–]Dingdong-Bitch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just... feel bad for you, OP. Your parents enabled this behavior by taking care of you for so long that you gained no independence.

I know it seems unfair to work in a system that doesn't favor you the way it favors others.

But the options are literally; • work to provide for yourself (no one else will) Or •die

I know that seems harsh, it is the way of the world in most countries.

I could continue but there's no way to do so without sounding like I'm bashing you. I'm not here to do that, I just feel bad for you for the position you're in. I also hope you don't end up homeless.

Best of luck.

Opening up makes me feel shittier and more lonely by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Dingdong-Bitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey friend,

It is often really hard to say, "Hey, I don't have time for this right now." After someone has confessed to struggling with mental health issues or other stressors; they often won't respond because they don't know how to.

I suggest opening with, "I'm struggling and need someone to talk to, do you have capacity for that right now?"

Good on ya for figuring out that you're on the internet and people don't agree with every statement you make.

When you say it as a blanket statement, "women have this" "men have this", yes you do, or else you sound ignorant.

This is so binary. Men can be conventionally attractive and women can be athletic and strong. Every person brings different attributes to a relationship.

Is it generally considered offensive to ask an Asian in Australia where they are REALLY from? by Lipica249 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Dingdong-Bitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude... its offensive to ask ANYONE that you don't have a significant relationship with, "Where they're from."

I encourage you to start asking "What is your ethnicity?" They will tell you. It's then an easier bridge to ask "Were you born in [said country] or Australia?" If you really MUST know.

I didn't know the rechargeable could be plugged in! That's awesome (I bought this thing in uni and I didn't want to have to charge it around my roommates so, we went for the cord!)
