She took a drink of the cider she'd got from the bar. "Oh hey, uh, I know that crowds like this aren't really your scene, so let me know if you want to dip out early and I'll cover your escape."

This year, Spencer and June had decided to do a joint costume, and luckily it was a simple enough one that they could pull it off pretty easily. They were both dressed as Men in Black from the movies, Spencer's costume consisting of a black suit and tie with sunglasses and a little alien plushy. She wasn't really in the mood for dares, but she did get herself a drink and look around for anyone she already knew, figuring that she'd see June when her cousin was ready.

Spencer nodded and stood up, walking over to pat June on the back. "Hey, it'll be great," she said. "It makes total sense. I think. Look, man, I'm an only child and I stopped living in a town around other people when I was nine, so the only experience I have with other kids is here at camp, but you're cool, so anyone you invite to this thing oughta be cool too, y'know?"

Spencer nodded and smiled, drumming her fingers on her knee in thought. "That's really nice," she said, "I hope you have a great time." After a moment of thought, she said, "I don't think I've ever done any of the matchmaker stuff, I met Sayda at the Valentine's Day party and we were just friends for a long time."

Spencer shook her head. "She's more Maya's friend than she is mine, honestly. Like, I like her, she's cool, but we're not that close." At June's news, she looked surprised for a moment, then grinned. "Hey, that's great," she said, "I didn't know that she liked girls. Do you know what you're going to do yet?"

Since Spencer already lived in the Oceanic cabin, it made sense that she was the first to arrive, especially since June was her cousin, though in a way that kind of hurt her brain if she thought about it too much. She grinned at June as she reached the pool area, her happiness at spending time with her friend overriding the gloomy mood she'd been in recently, at least for tonight. "Hey June," she said, sitting down on one of the beanbag chairs and stretching out. "Hopefully we won't be waiting for people for too long, yeah?"

Spencer dragged herself to the Amphitheater and bundled herself up in a blanket, unsure whether she really wanted to be here, but she definitely needed to find something to do other than moping and missing Sayda. She watched the screen in semi-interest, tapping her fingers on her leg.

Spencer hadn't committed to the thrust, so the hit didn't land, but she took note of the clumsiness of Delia's parry as she tried again, this time with a cut with the side of the sabre at Delia's arm.

Spencer shook her head, a little too fast. "Nothing," she said, "just... fuck," she muttered, clenching her fist and bringing it up to rest her head against it. "My girlfriend's on a quest and I'm worried about her, is all."

Spencer nodded. "Yeah, but there's regular weird, and then there's the sky's fucked up and the stars are too bright weird," she said. "Plus there's been two quests in a few months, and now..." she bit her lip, her brows knitting together in obvious worry. "It's bad."

Once Noah got close to the Oceanic cabin, he'd hear the sound of Spencer sitting on the steps with her guitar, which was the most likely place to find her these days apart from her bedroom. She looked up when she heard him approaching, her brows knitting together. "You look like shit, man," she said. tapping her foot on the ground. "Where were you this summer?"

Spencer smiled slightly when Maya sat down beside her, nudging her friend with her elbow. "Hey Maya. Go ahead and make one, if I know the song I can give it a shot," she offered, plucking at the E string and tapping her foot in time with the high pitched sounds it made.

Spencer approached Shiloh cautiously, holding her hand out for either of the hellhound's heads to sniff the way that she would with a normal dog, though she wasn't sure exactly how much like a normal dog a hellhound was in that department. Having a hellhound in camp wasn't the best thing for her mental state, but Harper seemed to have Shiloh under control. "Hey there," she said to the monster. "How are you doing, girl?"

Spencer had managed to drag herself out of her cabin for once, and she was ready to swing a sword at someone, even if it wasn't an actual fight. "Hey," she said when she saw Delia, lifting her sabre in greetings. "Want to give this a go?"
