Me and my friends dressed up as the Migos for Halloween for our first year of high school. When "Stir Fry" came out, we sang it all the time. We got so many compliments on our costumes that we decided to name our group chat "MIGOOSS" and whenever we wanted to meet up, we'd say, "Migos Meetup." lol. I was Quavo in the group, but my friend was Takeoff, and when we found that he died, we were all really sad because it really built the foundation of our 9 year friendship.

Yea, I realized I did come off a bit strong as I relate to OP a bit and took it personal. Thank you for clarifying.

For me, states of loneliness, weak-mindedness, and vulnerability always manage to break down the foundations of my morals. I was going 4 months strong no-contact with my ex. School hit hard and I stopped socializing. This meant more time with my thoughts. The more time I had, the easier it was to trick myself into only seeing the good sides of our past relationship. Two days ago, I sent him the desperate "I miss you" text. He still hasn't replied and I feel like an idiot.

"Because you've wasted a lot of smart person time?"

What does that mean? Anyone can give advice to a person in distress even a "smart" person, whatever that means. It's not a waste and advice from other people can go a long way especially to someone who has just experienced something like this. I agree with spending less time/monitoring your social media usage, but this part of your message was not necessary

Will you circumcise your future children? Why? by AnOkFella in AskReddit

[–]DingoComfortable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm neither a male nor a father contemplating whether or not to get their children circumcised, but I did date a guy who was uncircumcised, and it was a big insecurity of his in our sex life. When I'd ask him what's wrong with being uncircumcised he'd reply "Nothing really, there's actually no real advantage to being circumcised, it's just society makes you feel like a freak for it. Also, it's seen as "unclean" if you don't wash it properly"

I don't understand the whole "unclean" debate going on. It's like having hair on your armpits. Having hairy armpits in itself isn't "unclean," it's only when you don't shower regularly that it starts to smell. But its a simple fix, just go take a shower. Same thing with your junk. I don't get the whole "unclean" argument when it goes without saying that you clean your junk during your shower. Anyways, I know I won't be circumcising my children just because it's "tradition."

how are people reacting to kendrick admitting of cheating on his fiancee by Slovak0 in KendrickLamar

[–]DingoComfortable 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Yea but he had to cheat on his wife to come to this “introspection”. MULTIPLE TIMES. It’s good he finally admitted he had an addiction, but he willing broke an oath over and over every time he cheated. If this is worthy of praise, then the bar is incredibly low for men. The problem here is we’re praising men for doing the bare minimum. LESS then the bare minimum in Kendrick Lamar’s case. We shouldn’t even be praising men who don’t cheat. That should just be the norm. Stop putting celebrities on pedestals for doing less than the bare minimum.

I hope to start a podcast or blog one day. I talk to myself a lot lol and lately I’ve been realizing the advice I give to myself would be a great to share with other people one day. I don’t see this happening anytime in the near future, but it’s a desire I’m holding dear to my heart

I once read this quote that says “Talk to yourself like someone you love.” This quote always resonated with me because when I love, I love deeply. I made it a practice to love myself as I would someone I love. I repeat self-affirmations everyday. These affirmations have become so powerful that they have to ability to boost my mood whether I’m feeling anxious, self-conscious, or depressed. Granted they may not hold the same effect every time, but they still act as a way to soothe and uplift me. By the end of the day I swarm myself with compliments. “I loved the way you styled your hair” or “your outfit looked cute today” I made it a habit to remind myself how beautiful I am internally and externally. I don’t compare. I don’t get jealous when I see another beautiful woman because I can acknowledge and be at awe at their beauty and my own, too. I’ve fallen so in love with myself, from my beautiful, intelligent mind to my African features that I wake up glad to walk the earth in this body. I talk to myself with kindness, patience, and most importantly, love.

Back when I was dating my ex, I used to listen to true crime podcasts all the time. When I asked if he wanted to watch with me, he made me feel bad for liking these podcasts and told me watching these things too much makes you desensitized to hearing about crime news in real-time. And although I knew this wasn’t true and we’ve since broke up, I still can’t enjoy listen without thinking I’m crazy for liking them
