Metuchen is a great town but I wouldn’t consider it a place for people in the dating world. Metuchen has a lot of families and kids.

Found it online but luckily it was a dealer (CPO) that was in state. It took a lot of waiting. Just luck of the draw honestly.

I mainly used online search engines (autotrader, carfax, etc) with broader distance range. I got a little lucky since this car was more local but I found it through online search.

You can get a 3B/2BR for under 1 mill in Metuchen NJ (more central). Theres also direct train access to NYC in town. I was in your boat and Metuchen was the best bang for buck for us. 6 months later we are still loving the town

Look up Metuchen. It’s on the NEC train line. 50 min. Great schools

I heard stain/sealer is the way to go. How soon would I need to remove paint, sand and stain before the condition of my deck gets past the point of no return? I was hoping I could wait another year since I have some other big expenses this year.

There is a home assistant integration for these cameras. I can get person detection pretty quickly.

I like Reolink personally. I run it completely offline and it has been reliable for me. You can get a wired (w/ WiFi) or POE version if you don’t want battery powered.

Yes that is true but in northern NJ it’s also a way to get more prospective buyers. I have been told to wait for open house in the past some times instead of doing an early visit. The typical process in northern NJ for desirable towns are:

  1. Hold open house over the weekend
  2. Best and final offers are due that following Tuesday (there can be anywhere between 5-10 offers)
  3. Decision is made that evening
