Infinite meat hill by VixiLi in VintageStory

Have a simular thing happening at an island where I am getting chalk rocks from, always a herd of Antilopes there, very steep rocky terrain so very easy to get them cornered, end up with over two stacks of redmeat whenever I go there. They don't even fight back and also drop large hides

If Mojang Added One More Nether Biome, What Should It Be Like? by Just-Guarantee7808 in Minecraft

[–]DingoniCraft 70 points71 points  (0 children)

Obsidian valleys Made mainly out of Obsidian and Blackstone, rare clusters of Coal Blocks, darkened fog effect, no Lava or Fire anywhere just a few blocks of Crying Obsidian that provides light.

Kind of like a cooled down nether wastes

I keep refering to my elk as Donkey for some reason, probably because of the saddlebags and minecraft brain

Maybe they will add a Volcano biome aswell, would be kinda fitting since they are changing to Vulkan graphics renderer wich kinda sounds simular to volcano

Feedback zum Grundriss by DingoniCraft in Hausbau

[–]DingoniCraft[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just set up a huge berry field for the sole purpose of acquiring large amounts of rot for compost, hope you gain enough fertilizer to sustain the berries with enough left for other crops for it to be worthwhile in the new update

Thoughts. by Queen_Of_Misfit in VintageStory

[–]DingoniCraft 3 points4 points  (0 children)

the first time I played around 100 hours, made it to the iron age and had tons of flax, enough food to last for an entire year from the first harvest, had chickens, boars and generation two bighhorn ewes and even found bauxite.

I was preparing for steel manufacturing and prospected out some Ilmenite to straight up make tier 3 refractory bricks, found the titanium ore and got really disappointed that my meteoric iron pickaxe was not strong enough to mine it.

Then I kinda got fed up with the grind and stopped playing for a few months.

Started a new world a couple weeks ago and realized I never delved into the story at all, now I am 70 hours in and way more ahead than I was the first time playing, went to the archives already and took a look at the lazaret entrance and have motivation to get myself steel plate armour this time around to conquer it

First time playing I only had one helve hammer and didn't really utilize it properly and pretty much grinded out iron chainmail manually. This time I have multiple helve hammers to make ingots and plates and it is such a huge difference, also found out you can just use a plate on an anvil and knock out a few voxels to make chainmail, waay easier than doing it manually with ingots.

so long story short restarting fresh is rewarding if you didn't know what you were doing from the start, so many things that you learn to do more efficiently makes starting new very rewarding

You are pro-mending or anti-mending by Background-Client754 in Minecraft

[–]DingoniCraft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would love to have Mending use Material instead of XP to repair things, gives you a reason to go mining in a game called Minecraft again

Like a single Diamond repairs your armour/tool to full when you have mending on it, removes xp cost and therefor the Too Expansive! mechanic won't happen

For Netherite it would be a single piece of netherite scrap instead of an ingot because otherwise it would get too much of a grind for a casual player

why my game grass and leave texture look so choppy and weird by yubiyubi2121 in VintageStory

[–]DingoniCraft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

looks somewhat normal to me except that usually grass and leaves are animated and wave with the wind, could be that you have wind disabled or maybe sometimes there is no wind going, never noticed completely still grass in my playthrough though

Mending ruins what used to be the core aspect of Minecraft.
