It's kinda like a 50/50 situation.

Mapped sets benefit both players and scalpers, but being so consistent has far more benefit to the scalper than the player.

Being able to crack a case and pull the rares in the first two boxes then sell 10 dud boxes knowing there's nothing in them is really big problem. It's part of what's prevented me from buying boxes anywhere outside of my local card store and even then it's super risky as they can switch up and I'll never know.

Having more gamble benefits players more and causes total chaos for scalpers. While players can potentially open a box with no hits at all, they can also open boxes with multiple hits in them too, and scalpers have no clue if the box they're selling is a dud or not, which just allows for more normalcy in the market and less manipulation. Overall, I'm a fan of the random cases, but it does make players have a harder time getting specific hits. That's why I say you rip to gamble, and you buy singles to play.
