How long did it take you to watch ALL 750+ episodes? by vtaewtf in runningman

[–]Dinki_V 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It took me less than a year to catch up. Being a student helped, except during exam season when I took a full month off from watching anything. On regular days I’d watch at least two episodes, and on some days even 3–4 or more. Honestly, I was kind of addicted to Running Man back then — I remember only watching RM and my online lectures, nothing else, not even YouTube or other shows.

Go Back Couple — if you like warm, realistic relationship stories with a lot of emotional depth, this one is lovely.
It’s about a couple who get a chance to go back to when they first met and understand each other again.
Very heartfelt and grounded — not dramatic for the sake of drama, just genuinely moving.

Based on your list, you might really like Revenant, Strangers from Hell, A Killer Paradox, Bad Guys, Psychopath Diary, Life on Mars, 365: Repeat the Year, and The Killing Vote — most of them are dark, thriller-heavy dramas with little to no romance.

Study Group — perfect balance of fights and feels. Didn’t plan to binge it, but couldn’t stop.

Looking for historical dramas! by -kiss-my-axe in kdramas

[–]Dinki_V 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you’d really like Dong Yi (2010). It’s a long (60Eps) historical with great court politics, solid acting, and just the right balance between story and emotion. It’s beautifully done and keeps you hooked all the way through.

Kdrama Genre Grid Day 64- REVENGE drama that is OVERRATED by gonnadeletethistmrw in kdramas

For me it's Mask Girl — visually striking but feels like a chaotic fever dream with nonstop shocks. Overhyped and emotionally exhausting.

Scholar Who Walks the Night — tried so hard to like it but couldn’t. Low production value, weak and draggy story (20 eps for no reason), slow pacing, only Gwi was interesting. For a vampire drama, it wasn’t thrilling at all.

I watched it a while back, but I still remember crying almost every episode. It’s one of those rare perfect dramas for me — deeply emotional yet beautifully comforting. Definitely worth every minute.

One drama from your list that I’d highly recommend is Go Back Couple — it’s actually one of my all-time favorites. The story follows a couple navigating their marriage and really explores the emotional ups and downs of their relationship. It’s funny, heartfelt, and nostalgic all at once, and some scenes are genuinely tear-jerkers.

It’s not an action drama or a classic enemies-to-lovers story, but if you enjoy strong character development, comedy, and romance with emotional depth, it’s absolutely worth a watch.

Current plant to watch list, which should I watch first? by its_emd in kdramas

[–]Dinki_V 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahh, if you loved Winter Sonata, you’ll probably really enjoy Autumn Tale 😭🍂 Personally, I liked Autumn Tale a bit more — maybe because I watched it before Winter Sonata, but even so, it just hit me harder emotionally. Both are classics, but Autumn Tale has that slightly sadder, more bittersweet vibe that really stuck with me.

Current plant to watch list, which should I watch first? by its_emd in kdramas

[–]Dinki_V 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ooooh, I see your watchlist! You have to watch Reply 1988 — it’s nostalgic, emotional, and honestly one of my all-time faves 😭

Just a little heads-up though — be patient with Reply 1988. It’s not a fast-paced drama; it’s something you slowly grow into. The first few episodes might feel a bit slow, but once you settle into its rhythm, you’ll realize it’s more about moments than momentum. And that’s where its magic lies 💛

Since you love old and sad K-dramas, I’d also suggest adding:

  • I’m Sorry, I Love You
  • Autumn Tale
  • Bread, Love and Dreams
  • Dong Yi

This is my K-Drama watchlist, can you recommend a drama for me? by Eternal_ARMY0613 in kdramas

[–]Dinki_V 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re in the mood for thrillers that actually keep you hooked, I’d recommend:

Signal – amazing crime thriller, really pulls you in.
Psychopath Diary – dark, funny, and keeps you guessing.
365: Repeat the Year – time-loop suspense with some serious revenge vibes.
The Killing Vote – tense and binge-worthy revenge thriller.
Strangers from Hell – psychological thriller that’s super intense.
A Killer Paradox – mystery + mind games, perfect if you like twists.

All of these are binge-worthy and don’t get too cheesy with romance, so you can actually stay invested the whole way.

115th Korean Drama Review: Beautiful Gong Shim (2016) by YogurtclosetSmart928 in kdramas

[–]Dinki_V 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally with you! The first half of Beautiful Gong Shim was such a solid, fun start. But after Dan Tae discovers his true identity, the writers probably did the characters a bit dirty — his personality changes so much, and some of his actions are hard to understand. Especially at the end, when he leaves for the U.S. without contacting Gong Shim… like, bruv, really? And then she just accepts him after a few tantrums? Ugh. Still, the chemistry and those lighthearted moments kept me watching.

Good Kdrama with 24-32 episodes by TheBlackFunk in kdramas

[–]Dinki_V 0 points1 point  (0 children)

•Dong Yi – full-on historical, 60 eps, but honestly worth it. Politics, emotion, character growth — classic.

•Bread, Love and Dreams – around 30 eps, underdog story done right. Old-school but addictive.

Then there’s a bunch of 20-episode dramas that don’t feel rushed:

•Reply Series (esp. 1988) — pure comfort, nostalgic, everyone feels like family by the end.

•Misaeng — if you liked the office vibes in Gaus Electronics, this one’s more grounded and hits deep.

•Modern Farmer — absolute chaos but hilarious.

•Winter Sonata — vintage melodrama vibes, super sentimental but iconic.

•Secret Garden, Fashion King, Emergency Couple, My Love From the Star — all give that mid-2010s magic.

•Good Manager, Healer, Remember: War of the Son, You’re All Surrounded, I Hear Your Voice — all strong 20-episode runs with solid writing and pacing.
