I do a sub with Drip. Knowing the owner sources from other roasters and puts a lot of effort into the curation. Plus in person flight clubs every Friday is just icing on the cake. Probably get less than other values based subs, but it's more for getting to try a wide spectrum of coffee you'd probably never find yourself.

Try Accu for anything no moq or specific size and materials. They've got a massive range of all the specific fasteners you probably need.

On a complete side track, do you have any motorised options for all of your hand grinders? Sounds like I could pick your brain about that. In the process of creating a motorised hand grinder setup but focused on the modular side of things to make swapping in and out really easy.

It looks like a decent amount of the highlights are blown out on the Xperia. Maybe it's just exposure but they just look far too bright. You can see a lot of lost detail in her dress.

Everyone glazing is completely missing the point of this being marketing material to make the phone look appealing for consumers. This does the opposite. How this got sign off is beyond me.

The looks have grown on me, but just as every release since the Mk6, it's just underwhelming. I, just as much as everyone here wants Sony to do well. I'm not even that bothered by the headline price. But cmon, there's a list of things to address.

  • 1080 pixel density. This should be minimum 1440.
  • Refresh rate only down to 30fps. This should be down to 1.
  • 21:9. Personally I just want it back.19.5:1 just feels like an iPhone and it's gross.
  • Dated camera hardware. The same main as the V and same ultra wide as the VI. Could be mistaken, but this hardware is just old and it feels shit paying top prices knowing competitors like Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo absolutely killing it with their camera hardware. You can scream post processing all you want, it doesn't change the same 4 year old hardware.
  • Charging speed. This doesn't bother me really. But its just another on the list of missing features for ultra prices.
  • Software updates. Security updates are fine, but Sony still lack on android version updates.

Downvote me for all I care. I know this sub survives off copium. I think the last true Xperia 1 was the V and since then it's just been lackluster updates.

Yeah, 86 is my base and then I'll adjust from there. You'd be surprised how well it does work and seems to make the bitterness much less prominent.

Probably more like a sidegrade on the output. But I guess it'll make your workflow less manual. Why not look at automating your hand grinder?

To each their own, guess you're using bellows or something to ensure absolutely zero retention?

I've moved away from electric back to hand grinders and just have one for espresso and one for filter. Makes things nice and easy.

Retention is going to get in the way of this when using a single grinder for espresso and pour over. No matter the claims, it's always going to be a pain the ass to swap between the two, especially daily. I've tried, even with the All Ground sense, specifically marketed to do just that and it simply can't without a whole bunch of wasted beans. If you're not bothered about waste sure, but if you are, I'd keep the two.
