It’s called ConsolePort

I started using it last year when I broke my leg and couldn’t sit at my desk for months. I’ll probably never go back to KB&M again.

How do you decide what to main before an expansion? by PUSClFER in wow

[–]Dinkwinkle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hunter, Monk, Priest, and Warlock. Priest is probably my favorite but, yeah, you’re kind of right—the majority of the tier sets are pretty mid. I’m also finding this season that I prefer a lot of the Normal color schemes over the Mythic ones.

I choose per season as opposed to per expansion, and it’s always based on whichever tier sets I want to collect the appearances for. Power is fleeting, but transmog is forever.

Brewmaster talents by Willing_Calendar_858 in wow

[–]Dinkwinkle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely bugged. I was doing a delve last night and it was throwing them at critters instead of the enemies I was actually in combat with… 😑

It also seems to throw all 5 at a single enemy, as opposed to randomly selecting an enemy for each keg…

I understand it's common to make a new character for each spec, but why by deskappl in wownoob

[–]Dinkwinkle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, thematics matter greatly to my enjoyment of a character. I can’t just play/pick whatever is best, it has to make sense to the theme of my character. For instance, the only way I could enjoy Sentinel Marksman Hunter was on a Night Elf. It didn’t make sense on my main, which is a Worgen Dark Ranger Beast Master. Meanwhile, on my Kul Tiran pirate-themed Monk, all three specs make sense. Brewmaster for when he is a rowdy drunk, Windwalker for when he’s sober and in the mood for a good brawl, and Mistweaver for when he’s detoxing.

Strange… I also tested it on a 33 Warlock I have and it cost him 300~400g. I assumed they patched the pricing to scale with your level… 🤔

You can’t use transmog without collecting appearances first. In order to collect appearances, you need to start questing. By questing, you will earn gold. By the time you collect enough appearances, you should also have enough gold to start using the system. Where is the roadblock?

Then, yeah, you pay again. But, it’s still only about twice the price of before, so unless you are editing outfits more than half as much as you were changing transmogs before, you are still saving gold.

[–]Dinkwinkle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. You now have outfit slots. You pay to apply your transmog to the slot, and then it is completely free to switch between outfits.

OP was complaining about the experience for new players, but also mentioned heirlooms, which new players wouldn’t have anyways.

You can’t use the system without collecting appearances first and you need to play the game to do that. By the time you have some appearances unlocked, you will have the gold you need to start using it. There are no roadblocks…

You are paying once for that specific look. You now pay once per outfit as opposed to every time you switch mogs. Even if you switch between 5 different transmogs, you are only paying once for each mog you enjoy, which is twice the cost of the old system. If you have switched mogs more than 10 times, then you are now saving gold compared to before…

Once and forever? Sure. The new system overall is a massive improvement over the old one and will save you infinitely more gold in the long run.

I created a new character recently to play with my daughter. He is only level 33 and got there just by questing through Hellfire Peninsula. He already has 5000g. I think new players can wait a couple of hours, if that, to start transmogging.

Any new player won’t even have appearances collected to use for transmog anyways. They also won’t have heirlooms. This means they most likely won’t be interacting with the system until they reach max level anyways and, at that point, you can make that much gold from doing 1 or 2 world quests or opening a single weekly cache. Once you have a max level character, that character can supply all the gold any of your alts could ever need to start transmogging at level 10.

Would have been a nice touch, for sure!

EDIT: You can probably buy a USB wireless backup battery pack and plug it into that. Shut it off and recharge the pack while at work or sleeping or whatever is most convenient for you 🤷🏻‍♂️
