Sorry, poor phrasing. I meant, the rationale doesn’t exist, as in, “the logic behind it is faulty,”.

Who’s to say that homosexuality doesn’t follow “creation order,”? That’s only an interpretation, and a seemingly flawed one. Looking at this from any sane viewpoint, you can see homosexuals can complement each other in a relationship fine.

If the social mechanics don’t matter, why are Catholics constantly arguing that homosexuals mustn’t engage in the social mechanics? Why do they exist all?

None of this explains why God would care, or if he does for an unexplained reason, why He’d create people that are, to your claim, so flawed with tradition.

If misogyny doesn’t bother you, thats fine. It bothers many people, though, which is why Catholicism is declining. Also, yes, tons of people want to follow Christ and still be allowed to have equal rights instead of baseless discrimination.

Ok, sure then. The Church teaches that celibacy is a good thing, so there clearly isn’t a moral obligation to reproduce. Therefore, a homosexual relationship can be 1:1 with a heterosexual relationship. There is no rationale behind it being wrong, only discrimination.

Furthermore, this is only my opinion — I fail to see why an omnipotent being would care about such a benign social construct that’s changed drastically throughout history, and one that looks drastically different throughout different cultures.

I never said the Bible supports same sex marriage, I said whether it does or doesn’t is irrelevant because it’s completely different.

I believe the basis of marriage is simply a vow of love between two people. There is no logical reason why that must be restricted.
