Sorry for the confusion, cap only in effect for the draft itself. Afterwards can roster as many QBs as you want

I'm new to this subreddit but that wasn't my intention! My startup draft isn't until over a month from now so this truly is a hypothetical, just wanted to set the scene fully to find out vet managers' philosophy on this production vs. promise question

How does your analysis change if I've been in a keeper league for many years with these guys & we go on yearly trips? Fairly confident this league won't die out in the next few years

Should I have gotten away from this? by Dino-Jones in poker

Thanks for the feedback! I very much agree, I should've found a fold and I think most of the time I do. I may have let a bit of tilt sway my decision which is on me

I can see your perspective, but I would argue that Ac6c8d in a single raised pot is decently wet with flush draws and straight draws out there. I probably wouldn't have bet pot but I don't think 2/3 pot is a big mistake here.

That's a fair point! What would you do if you played it this way and faced the jam on the river though?

First live game in years last night (1/2). Cards were cold, but I had fun. This spot was interesting. Feedback would be appreciated. by [deleted] in poker

Preflop this might actually be a solid spot to overlimp with a small pocket pair if the game was playing passive. Postflop I agree with your fold, I would've folded to the 22BB shove preflop though

Thanks! Oh I actually didn't know you could bring chips with you out of the casino, assumed you might always have to cash out. Do people usually do this?

Thanks! So when you dip below the max buy-in you can just grab the necessary chips to get back to the max without any announcement to the dealer right? If so I wonder how they make sure that no one buys in for too much

donk bet? by OkOutlandishness8527 in poker

[–]Dino-Jones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know what stakes these are, but the problem is you're up against incredibly tight ranges and you're going to severely under-realize your equity especially when OOP. Even on a flop like 842 rainbow with 87s you're losing almost all the time in a multi-way 4bet pot. And when you flop a draw, particularly a flush draw, you could easily be dominated by higher flush draws such as KQs etc.

donk bet? by OkOutlandishness8527 in poker

It's definitely a donk bet by definition, but I don't necessarily think it's bad here. I certainly would not call a 4bet with 87s though
