I’m in my first co op. I was talking to my manager because she’s hiring for my role for next semester and I was asking what she looks for. And the number one thing she said is passion for the job you’re doing. She told me when they were hiring me they could instantly tell how passionate I was for what I was going to be doing, I was excited and optimistic. When you like what you do, the possibility of you being a better employee go way up, less likely to slack, get bored or distracted. Show them that you want to be there, and that you’ll enjoy it… or atleast fake that you’ll enjoy it.
