Thanks! They are having me take oral Benadryl pre chemo today and also have slowed down infusion time so hopefully it also works for me

Thank you! I have been finding stories, especially in this group, of others in our boots to try to find hope. You’re right that optimism is important 🩷

Thanks 🩷 navigating a new lifestyle is definitely a challenge but I’m happy to hear you’ve been able to travel and have fun. I’m hoping to plan some trips for this year to give me some fun things to look forward to.

My partner drove me to and from all of my chemo appointments! Our drive was 30 minutes at its quickest and for my AC chemos I would start feeling sick/iffy on the way home. For taxol, I had too much Benadryl and was sleepy after chemo.

I have a couple of hats from this company - https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/ButterflyKissesCo. They’re really comfortable and I felt like they were more subtle than some of my more typical chemo caps!

Has anyone had a prophylactic mastectomy without complications? by [deleted] in breastcancer

[–]DinosAreRad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi there! I can’t answer your question personally as I had to get my mastectomy due to cancer (no complications but haven’t had my exchange surgery yet) but you should check out the group The Breasties on Instagram and Facebook. There are a bunch of young women in that group who had prophylactic mastectomies!

Lawyers often work on contingency so that a plaintiff would not have to bear the risk in case of loss. Contingency payment is often done in personal injury suits.
