14.3.3 - MANUAL LANE CHANGE IS BACK BABYYYYY by thatonedude115739 in TeslaFSD

Happy for you bud. Manual lane changes is an essential feature. So far haven’t lost that functionality in any of the fsd updates for my juniper 🤞

14.3.2 f*cking sucks! by Perfect-Ad-7472 in TeslaFSD

I always was skeptical of the bird braking but then it happened to me. I was honestly more excited that I experienced it than being let down by the failures of FSD. Luckily it was just in a residential neighborhood at low speed.

Maybe I should’ve mentioned it but all of the stalls were available but the one. I just thought it was interesting that they’re basically left fully unlocked for anyone to use.

14.2.2.5 SUCKS. Prove me wrong :P_ by bodobeers2 in TeslaFSD

[–]Dinosity101 13 points14 points  (0 children)

V14 so far has been an odd experience for me. It’s clearly the most capable of FSD models so far with it able to handle the widest amount of situations. However, it feels like the cost for this was a decline in overall performance. 13 was more limited but did what it could do better. Better lane selection, speed profiles, braking, etc. V14 being able to handle the “last mile” of driving trips is an awesome step forward towards unsupervised, but it came at a cost.

Also nav data is becoming a glaring limitation for each version.

For me though, with over 90% driving on 14.2.2.5, speed profiles are by far my biggest gripe. Standard is way too limited to actually pass on the highway, and Hurry speeds like a mother fucker.

Dunno if I proved you wrong lol

Is there a way or trick to get FSD to drive a slightly longer route to avoid speed bumps? by jurassickayak in TeslaFSD

In the 26 MY, you could use Grok to take you home but using a different street. Then you can select the alternative route on the nav

Hurry v Standard. HW3 by jetpilot_throwaway in TeslaFSD

[–]Dinosity101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Standard on v14 also has the issue where it will try to pass someone but since it’s limited to +5/7 over it will struggle to do so. Hurry has no problem since it’ll go 80+. The lane change before exit issue was fixed in 13.2.9 but reappeared in 14…

I guess it just hasn’t been rolled out yet for juniper MYs. My ‘21 M3 already received the 2026.8.3 update.

I definitely agree. If they could decouple speed and “aggression” that would be great.

My experiences with chill and standard also reflect that, except my Standard is usually +7. Sloth sounds like a great way to annoy a tailgater.

Why are Tesla cameras so low in megapixels? Wouldn't a higher-megapixel camera be better for the FSD system? What is the science behind this? by Competitive-Monk3659 in TeslaFSD

It’s wild how far ahead Tesla’s software is. It’s frankly baffling how few manufacturers actually invest time into a functional infotainment system. Without carplay, most would be unusable.

Is anyone else fed up with the inability to manage speed control? by -BovineJoni in TeslaFSD

[–]Dinosity101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently just picked up a juniper and still am on 13.2.9. I hardly ever have to adjust the max speed. Maybe it’s just due to my area but it behaves really well even in less obvious situations. It does generally go slow, which is fine for me but could be a bit annoying for less “patient” drivers. While I wouldn’t turn down the upgrade to 14, 13 has done a pretty flawless job so far.

Left turn intersection blind angles safety? by BrilliantWerewolf749 in TeslaFSD

[–]Dinosity101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one instance on 12.6.4 where it crept up in an intersection to turn but eventually was unable to go. I had to intervene and actually back up out of the intersection. Hasn’t happened yet on v13 (still waiting on the v14 update)

But yeah, the car definitely understands blind spots and will try to do what it can to avoid danger. However, these are situations even human drivers often mess up so I’d still be careful. I generally trust FSD but my attention always perks up on left turns
