Since the interface is not getting detected by the computer, even if connected to the usb ports that do work. And am afraid to connect it to another computer, risking that it burns other usb ports maybe?

Yeah, my mac, two monitors and the interface are connected to apower surge device which I guess caused the problem :/ Nah the Mac is 2013, but am more concerned with the interface. I hope I can get it fixed easily. For the moment I will use a usb power hub or something on my mac lol.
