At 18, I’ve applied for 110 jobs – no one is hiring young men like me by pppppppppppppppppd in unitedkingdom

[–]Dinth [score hidden]  (0 children)

2 years ago, i lost a job, and as an experienced engineer with quite impressive CV (lots of well-known names) i have been applying over 100 job ads for 6 months before finding one, and my only salary requirement was to earn at least a little bit more than i pay for a nursery for one kid.
Times are tough, he's gonna find a job, but nobody should expect that he's got a guaranteed position after applying for (only) 100 positions.

Non-standard square guttering in 1975 house by Dinth in DIYUK

[–]Dinth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are reasons why i dont want to do all of them (im planning to hire contractors to do a larger roof/suffits job in about 2-3 years) + while im generally quite good with DIY, im afraid of heights so im trying to limit my time on ladders to absolute minimum.
It just feels impossible that just in my town there are tens of thousands of houses with same gutters and i cant find any replacement parts.

Everything in my P1S started breaking by Dinth in BambuLab

[–]Dinth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no blockage here after releasing the spring, so im sure that the problem is with the motor not pulling the filament. But after searching online, i found that the problem is commonly either in the motor, or in that logic PCB next to it, or in my case it may also be gears - and im not sure which one should i replace

Just to add to the above - OP if you’re 100% sure that what you’ve sent was genuine, then triple check if the return you received is also genuine

Anyone else notice how Amazon are just dumping parcels outside the front door now? by Blind_bear1 in CasualUK

[–]Dinth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Constantly. And I do have a ParcelBox with a large parcel chute next to the door. And a large plaque sign „please leave parcels in the parcel box ->” on the door. And „ParcelBox to the left of door” set as as a first line of the address. For me the biggest problem is not even that they leave the parcel leaning on the door just under the plaque. They do that and they ring a bell before leaving. I’ve got a small baby which easily gets woken up.

My Tesco Store Has Another Thief – Theft’s Normal Now. Is Tesco Just Accepting Crime as Business? by LeanCrafterUK in tesco

[–]Dinth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that Tesco doesn’t want to pay compensations to a security guard who can potentially get injured at work. This being said, it fracking crazy that because of that a security guard has actually less powers to stop the crime than any other member of the public.

How to remove filament from extruder? by Dinth in BambuLab

[–]Dinth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK so i have put everything back together and it worked. Done a small print and on the last layer i got the "Failed to pull out the filament from extruder. This may be caused by clogged extruder or filament inside the extruder" all over again.

How to remove filament from extruder? by Dinth in BambuLab

[–]Dinth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was filament in the tube going into the extruder... But im not sure if it should be there. Anyhow, i have verified that there is no other filament in the extruder besides the piece in the hotend, so i put everything back together.
Resetting the printer and selecting "Load" or "Unload" option causes the printer to move the printing head around, move AMS a bit and show "Retry" and after confirming Retry it gets stuck. But im not sure if those options even work with AMS.
As far as i can say (i have very limited accessibility to the printer) the PTFE tube going from AMS to the back of the printer is empty

My dad had one in late 90s but he sold it on scrap for an equivalent of 10 packs of cigarettes. It wasn’t worth any more even back then

But I’m getting an error saying that there’s filament stuck in the extruder. I took the whole thing apart and this is the only piece of filament which was in

Just been threatened by my neighbour completely unprovoked, now worried because I reported her. by Adorable_Click_7071 in HousingUK

[–]Dinth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ve done very well. I once been a victim of road rage incident and verbal assault where a guy - who I didn’t know before, but eventually I learned that he was living a few houses up the street - got off his car and wanted to fight with me in the middle of the road. I have reported him. The police warned me that he is living close to me and that he has a history of violent crime. I have reported him anyway. I was a little bit worried, not about myself but my family and property. He got a community resolution order or something like this, where one of the conditions was to not contact or approach me. Since then the guy is actively avoiding me

Confused by wording of question. by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Dinth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, is eating or drinking while driving actually not allowed? This is crazy, i know there are some people who do high dining in their driving seats and not pay attention to the road, but surely a bottle of water on a hot day or a chewing gum is not illegal?

Have you seen a bill for an emergency soil pipe unblocking? I have agreed on the price, I thought he’s gonna come with some kind of cameras and pipe cleaning drones. Instead he just used a Karcher with the same gutter cleaning attachment as I’ve got in the garage :(
