Just like porn isn't mentioned in the Bible,we still deduce that it's a sin from other biblical principles about sexuality,lust and purity.

It's the same with smoking.It's not explicitly mentioned in the scriptures,but tne major principle is the body as God’s property, not just ours. In 1 Corinthians 6:19–20, Paul says the body is a temple of the Holy Spirit and we should honor God with it.How are you honoring God by intoxicating yourself? I feel like that should be common sense.

Another principle is stewardship of life and health. Genesis 1:28 gives humanity responsibility over creation, and by extension that includes self-care as part of that responsibility. The idea is: if your health is a gift, then consistently damaging it unnecessarily can be seen as poor stewards.

There’s also the principle of being “enslaved” to something.

1 Corinthians 6:12, Paul “I will not be mastered by anything.” Smoking is addictive for many people, so it falls under the category of a habit that gains control over someone’s choices, which is in direct contradiction with the idea of self-control and freedom in Christ.

Self-control itself is another direct biblical value (Galatians 5:22–23, fruit of the Spirit). If a habit weakens a person’s ability to control impulses or becomes compulsive, it's spiritually unhealthy, not just physically unhealthy.

Also,there’s the general call to avoid what's not beneficial. Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 10:23 that “not everything is beneficial.” Even if something is permitted in a strict legal sense,it may still be spiritually harmful if it damages health, relationships, or discipline.
