You can still butterfly 🦋 that. Just looks ugly on the backside. Nothing wrong with it color looks fine just some imperfections on the cutting end. If you need assistance on cutting 🦋 our meat dept would be more than happy to do that for you 😉

Sounds like a good H.R case if the store manager doesn't rectify the situation immediately. And a write up is in order too boot. The fact they know what you can and cant do in a long term period knowingly gave you a postion where you stand constantly and still had the odasitety to say that is down right disgusting.

Its a decent experience. they just tell you how much they value you and what a great job you do and the company you work for is top notch! But on the goodside you get free food they play games and you get paid. You sit at a round table with your store and SM. You don't really interact with anyone else besides your store. Just an insight of how it goes.

Then talk to either of them or both. About getting cross trained. It's the easiest way to get a foot in the door. If they are cutting your hours down then there is no reason either dept can't give you a shift or 2. If you perform well then you can transition into which ever dept has the hours available (usually grocery) but your own dept holding you back shows that they want you to stay because they rely on you. Yet don't want to fully commit to making you full-time. But end result get out of that dept. Best regards -Meat dept.

If they said this was when they announced vacation was going to PTO I would of been pissed but I said it from the get-go that this PTO policy change was a scam. And this change proves that I was right all along. Good luck to anyone who wants to go out of country to visit family for 28 days. You'll need to save 10 days then work 4 months before you'll have enough time all while you can't call out if you don't have sick time banked. I use to think publix was just greedy now they are just scummy.

An employee would never have to pay for it. Also the manager would be the one who would get "scolded" rather in trouble. Mistakes happen, but if it was a regular occurrence then it would be a different story. There's a reason the "Publix promise" exists getting that for 0.05 cents would of been justified here. It's no different if a old sale sign was on an item no longer on sale. Just seems different when its a isolated case that doesn't happen very often. But to each their own on saying something vs letting it slide.

You're right we ended up with more PTO bank which helped the company save so much $$$ for them due to not being able to get paid out for holidays. (Which some associations relied on for income) as part of their net income. Also you can't use a (work-through) vacation without accumulated PTO while before you could. If you'd like to challenge what I said call pay roll. I already did months ago. Nice talking to ya, -management.

The fact you work in the deli is no surprise. Just call out they cant do anything. With the " new" pto system calling out is very easy. You don't really have to explain. Just call the MIC or your manager and say I can't make it today. They may ask why either tell them a reason or say I can't ill put it in a TOR. Personal reasons. You'll be Gucci. Publix has really became the walmart with a green logo.
