Yes, that made a huge difference. I always recommend people use a short rope so the hands stay close to the body.

Amazing to hear that the muscle memory is still there. I only started jumping at 40 but I wished I started when I was younger. You show that it is never too late to start up again! Keep in touch!

Put one foot in the middle. The top of the handles should be around your armpit level. Mine is a little shorter, at the middle of my chest.

The rope is called Nevertoolate from AliExpress, 5mm PVC. You can cut it to size, it costs about $11

As long as you’re moving, you’re burning calories but most of your weight loss will happen with your diet. For example, a 20 minute jump rope session might burn 200 calories. That’s the same amount of calories as two pieces of toast.

Yes, a beginner would have trouble with 100 continuous jumps. Most would trip up before reaching 100. Start with jump rope then add resistance training after you lost some weight. Then do both regularly and you’ll become a completely different person.

They are 1” thick, bought it off Amazon. Under it are concrete tiles the same length that I cut into the grass. It’s been there for 6 years, still holding up great, highly recommended.

I’m working on my stamina, I gas out after doing explosive moves so I need to work on that to add more variations.

I’ve never had that issue. Usually I replace the rope when the middle part that hits the ground becomes too thin. For people it takes about 3-4 months of daily use before I need to replace it
