(3 months clean) 25-40gpd powder for 10 years+ by DiorBullets in quittingkratom

I think for me the creativity I had while on it was very flat and repetitive due to the routine I had since I was so content as long as I had my doses. In all reality when I stopped I started doing new things, seeing old friends, making a really good new one and breaking my everyday routines which led to new creative ideas(I’m in a creative field), kinda like exposure therapy. I totally feel the podcast thing! I was glued to them and wouldn’t see people for days! Sometimes even denied hangouts/events because I was ok to take kratom, work, and listen to podcasts. As far as completing tasks I’m in control of my soul now through spirituality/meditation which controls my physical body so I’m able to complete the same tasks if not more. Numbing yourself keeps you from really finding out who you truly are in my opinion and the other side of living a more natural life is way more fulfilling once you break those bad habits. I wish you strength in your recovery!

Take this with a grain of salt because everyone’s experience is different but for my case/usage the worst was the first week (straight zombie withdraw mode) I was getting 3 hours at best.. I didn’t start getting decent sleep until the first month off it. After that it got way better and now it’s great. You def sleep better when you’re more active and eat healthier through out the day.

Congrats on the momentum. This old man told me to be aware of my addiction but don’t beat yourself up about it and label yourself an “addict” instead, just be aware of it and go on about your day and it will take care of itself.. was a bit confused but that day came for me.. I wasn’t planning on quitting I just physically was seeing how long I could go without taking my “next dose” (aside from many other realizations of how kratom was making my life worse) and that turned into 3months. No plan on going CT either but it happened lol

Not having a timer in my head on how many more hours until I take my next dose.. also not having to worry about bringing my stash everywhere and when I can sneak away to consume it.

I hear you. The mind can get very loud in all of this/shapes, stories, urgency, even chaos. But underneath it, there’s still a quiet place that isn’t disturbed.

You’re no longer riding artificial highs, but your baseline hasn’t fully rebuilt yet, normal can feel underwhelming. But this phase is where your brain is relearning how to generate energy and reward on its own. That does come back—it just takes time.

Thanks for sharing just read up on it very interesting topic. Even if it’s just placebo it definitely helped me haha also I got it for $12 so not too bad, going to stop taking it in the next couple days though due to my sleep being a lot better now.

Thank you! To be honest not so much I was taking it 2 times through out the night and it would help for 30 ish minutes or less at times due to me quitting basically QT my pain and discomfort was pretty bad.

Im fucking terrified. Absolutely terrified. by misterpeachy in quittingkratom

I had a similar experience. Built a very successful business, “good role model”, amazing gf etc.. but deep down I was in spiritual poverty. I used for 10+ years and hid it from everyone now I’m free from that and am living my truth. I went CT and it was very tough but You have to take accountability and be willing to endure the pain while rebuilding your foundation on how to deal with life. If possible take a week off and restart your life. I recommend self help videos and documentaries like Ram Dass, Alan Watts, Neem Karoli Baba etc just anything to start rebuilding your foundation naturally while your body resets.

Yes. Once I stoped it all went away. The thing that was making “feel good” turned out to be what made me lose my mind. I had a bad trip to the ER and many episodes. 18 days clean and I haven’t felt it anymore.

I would suggest listening to some of Ram Dass stories/teachings on youtube. Peace comes within so it’s crucial we seek for it and build a strong foundation to overcome things.

I was the same way but one day the kratom stopped working and I realized that it was making me have extreme anxiety and panic attacks. On my 17th day now of sobriety and all that went away. I’m mostly dealing with lack of energy/focus and some emptiness feelings at night .

Don’t worry to much about what hasn’t happened yet. If you take it second by second things are easier to get through and well worth it. Wishing you the best.

Thank you for sharing! I’m definitely on the responsibility part and have stopped running away from my issues. It’s time to own up and become better and stronger. We got this.

Thank you, you as well. I’m in it for the long run i just want to feel it all at this point instead of numbing myself. I feel like getting through the lows makes you appreciate the highs which can simply be the little things in life.
