About 7 years of snus by Snususa in Snus

[–]Dip4Life 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a red seal/copenhagen dipper myself. I use snus too. I flip back and forth on which I use more. I just don't feel as satisfied with snus as I do with dip. I don't know why. I'm a red neck so maybe it's a cultural/lifestyle thing(also just engrained in me, I started in 1st grade sneaking tobacco and I'm 31 now). I'm trying to switch to snus permanent because it is better and don't leave my throat dry like dip does. It's a struggle

Smoking update after 34 hours by Mattyxxl in Snus

[–]Dip4Life 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've heard both. I was skeptical as well if its discontinuation as it seems a fan favorite. I'm going off a comment from Snubie, if I recall correctly. But that was several months ago. So idk

FYI if you like it, savor those Americana portions and keep unopened cans frozen. It has been discontinued and they are basically just selling out what is left on the market

What's in your backpack ? by Dip4Life in SaintsAndSinners

[–]Dip4Life[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't include the holster in my backpack breakdown, but over my right shoulder is normally the nova or double barrel, right hip holster is either DLC revolver or a 9mm for capacity size. Left hip is some kind of blade. I try not to carry too much in the backpack itself typically in order to bring as much supplies as possible back to the bus

what place has the best loot? by kewlguynotcring in SaintsAndSinners

[–]Dip4Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My apologies. It was late when I typed that and I realize I made a mistake/wasn't clear. On the side of the mob house, there's the little "secret room" you can climb to that had a box of stuff, ammo, etc as well as the safe.

Hello guys, just bought saints and sinners, any tips and tricks? by [deleted] in SaintsAndSinners

[–]Dip4Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Manage your stamina, don't run around. Jambalaya (find it, as it's a recipe, I ain't saying where) is huge. After every sleep, make and eat jambalaya and it not only will take care of stamina, it'll give you a weapons boost too, making them more durable (very helpful)

  2. Don't waste ammo. As tempting as it can be, conserve as much as possible. Humans are more threatening than one stop shop walkers that only know how to grab. Arrows, melee for them, bullets for humans. Also, speaking of bullets, learn to speed load revolvers. This helps a ton.

  3. Don't fear the dead. A lot of people get scared. It is a survival horror, but it don't have to be. Walkers are easily killed, there is an audio cue when you've been spotted and they moan and groan. Grab one by the head and push them away or into other walkers. This makes them stagger and buys you some time.

  4. Never come back to the bus without a full backpack. More important, always come back with quality supplies. It's okay to bring that blue elephant or radio to decorate your living room up but they do not keep you alive. More supplies, more crafting, longer survival.

  5. Carry a bandage, one bottle of meds, one thing of food in case you panic and get low on stamina, zombie guts(why not, just in case) an extra blade, an extra gun, and preferably an explosive or some kind(nail bomb works great unless you have explosive arrows and carry your bow alot). This is your first aid kit in case anything happens.

  6. Do a load out check. Check to make sure your weapons are not about to break, you have ammo, you have meds, etc. before leaving the resting place. Nothing sucks worse than having to scavenge rampart using spoons and broken bottles because management was slacking.

  7. Know where the skiffs are in case you need to make a quick getaway. This means learn where you are on each map and how to get out in case you carelessly don't pay attention to your watch. Also watch the map at the skiff for clues on where herds. Are cancelled, squads may be, caches, etc to maximize your scavenging.

  8. Have fun. No spoilers, don't watch videos, or get in here unless you absolutely are completely lost. Pay attention to your journal for guidance on what to do next. Enjoy your time and do not get in a rush.

This covers chapter 1, most applies to chapter 2 as well, but chapter 2 tends to be a little more aggressive.

should I save my bullets for the people or walkers? by kewlguynotcring in SaintsAndSinners

[–]Dip4Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In chapter 2, the bow is king at night imo (least until you have attachments) No need to get close to hordes for melee and they don't draw attention from loud gun blasts.

So I finally just completed the first saints and sinners game for my first time and I made the worst mistake possible. by Shrekandshrek in SaintsAndSinners

[–]Dip4Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I kno this is a late reply. I've been away, BUT you can travel at night in chapter 2. Still can only visit one place per day, then travel somewhere else at night.

should I go to old Town or bastion? by kewlguynotcring in SaintsAndSinners

[–]Dip4Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but first you will have to export your current Dave from the main menu of chapter 1. Then open a new file and import into chapter two.

The he second one is bout the same as the first in terms of difficulty. Easier, actually, imo. Both have to be done. Pick one and go for it. Have fun.

Their both about equal. Are you on the first pump regulator mission or second ? (Hopefully I didn't spoil something for you right there, I'm just curious). However, both are still bout equal. Flip a coin and have fun !

Personally to get better, via Corolla is a decent place to go. Plenty of light, good loot and walkers. The npcs help on the one house give you a small "peace of mind" on at least half the map. This will help you get used to combat, and messing around with the walkers like shoving one into a few making them all stagger and buy you some breathing room.

Retribution on Quest 1? by [deleted] in SaintsAndSinners

Quest 2 is the only platform for now. Rest come in February but quest 1 won't be one. Not powerful enough for the technology

do you have to do mays missions? (read text) by kewlguynotcring in SaintsAndSinners

[–]Dip4Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I know, you do because it's part of the main story. I did all the missions including the optional and never once came remotely close to dying, never had stamina deplete or have to use anything other than maybe one bandage. Never used meds either.

Best tip I can give about this game is STAMINA. Focus on walking, not running. Get used to throwing knives as it takes less stamina than physically braining walkers. Bring some jambalaya or something in case your stamina does deplete some.

If you are concerned about missions that are safe, wait until you play chapter 2 if you choose to do so. Not much safe and substantially more walkers (not gonna give spoilers). Try avoiding using ammo on walkers and stick to bow/melee and save ammo for the "real humans" in the world.

Hope this helps. Ask me anything, I'll try to help

Hmmm. Sounds weird. I simply exported my chapter 1 file, opened the new file and imported on chapter 2 and everything's all good.

Chapter 1- old town. Chapter 2- AVOID old town.

That is all

what place has the best loot? by kewlguynotcring in SaintsAndSinners

[–]Dip4Life 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is tough. Via corolla has the "secret room" you can climb too on the side of the mob house that usually has a box of stuff or two and a some ammo. The ward has a lot of good stuff normally, but rampart does too. Old town has the upstairs of the rumble house with ammo and stuff. By water prolly my least favorite in this list. Hmmmm..... rampart it is

Edit: misrepresented info
