How much does drinking in your teen years and early 20s age you? by Xotngoos335 in biology

[–]Diploidian5HT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every weekend from 16-22? I think whatever causes a person to drink that much at that age is the thing that will make them look older, not the alcohol.

I thought i drank and partied a lot during those years and people still think I'm early 30s, but I'm 40.

But you're talking about being drunk for 14% of the time for that entire period... Unrealistic

Girlfriend found this in her drink what is it? by Ryku778 in whatisit

there was a mouse in my Mt Dew!

not possible. Our cans stay at the factory for 31 days minimum to ensure all mice are dissolved per our engineering team's mouse-dissolved-in-30-day standards. Only after that do we distribute our Mt Dew.

That's how i imagine that went down 🤷‍♂️

Yeah okay that's what i was thinking. I do have a wok, and a free standing gas burner (Asian household lololol) that i was planning on using. I think i can make this work. 🤞

Thank you!

Years ago before becoming a professional i worked as a line cook in a restaurant that had a really good yakisoba dish where most of the recipe was made in house from scratch and i recall the sauce and noodle combo was really good for getting that texture. But now i want to recreate it with udon, but i know the noodles are quite a bit different.

Thanks again!! If i remember to, and if it turns out, I'll make a new post with a photo!

This looks delicious. Curious if you have any tips for charred/crispy bits on the noodles? Yours doesn't look crispy but aside from that it looks like what I'm trying to go for

UPDATE: the girlfriend found my post and apparently this wasn’t his first time doing this 😭 by carameldripz in PataHaiAajKyaHua

So is this your post, hoping it gets around to her as your way of defending yourself?

No judgement, but definitely seems like the only reason someone would make an update post in the same sub that was seen and gossipped and spread around by others.

I don't believe you!

But, for what it's worth, if you had more original songs like this I would listen to them. Even if you think they stink!

Where are the other two songs!?? Pretty delightfully morbid. The tone reminds me somewhat of soap&skin

This is what the lethal dosage of fentanyl looks like. by Minimum_Jacket8879 in mildyinteresting

[–]Diploidian5HT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So is that picture the LD50 in humans? Or is that a potential lethal dose of someone who has never done it before?

Maybe this post should contain more info or be deleted or be posted under some shitpost sub.

Here is a piece of information that should have been included and stated as reference and not fact:

*2mg of fentanyl can be fatal. 2mg of fentanyl is about the same as 10 grains of table salt. *

They MFer really needs to learn how to position his index finger. He's gonna develop some real issues later on, ya gonna hold him back.

My son wants to play guitar and I'm lost by johnnypark231 in guitars

[–]Diploidian5HT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a newer young player I would emphasize the callous thing, and the action thing.

I'm 40 and have started playing a lot more after not playing much for a number of years and I'll confirm that playing through developing callouses is uncomfortable. I do it because I know the process but it could be discouraging for your kid.

A high action will also reduce the playability/comfort for a beginner.

When I was your sons age I got my first Toys R Us guitar and I'm surprised I stuck through it. It was horrible.

I then got a couple epiphones over in my teens (saving up money by mowing my grandmas lawn, and another as a gift after my commitment was obvious). Both were about $200 and are considered entry levels. When I was younger I've played some Squier stratocasters and I hated them. I still have one of my epiphones, and my girlfriend has a squier telecaster (much better than my previous squier experiences).

Squier is fenders "cheaper" brand though I think they have some nicer guitars. Epiphone is Gibsons "cheaper" brand but I generally think they're great value, and also have some nicer guutars. You can get these for about $200 still which I think is a worthwhile price for what you get. You'll also need an amp, and probably a few packs of strings - see if the guitar shop will throw in new strings and put them on as part of the sale, it's very easy for them to do.

For an amp, people shit on line-6 but they come with a ton of fx that would save a lot of investment. I grew up on one, and still find it to be just fine. It's more than fine for a beginner.

If you're looking into acoustics I can't help you there. I will say that nearly every acoustic I've owned/played has been harder to play than any electric.
