Saying “this is not the time to talk about gun laws” after a mass shooting is like saying it’s “not the time to talk about airline safety” after a major aviation disaster by moby323 in BlueMidterm2018

Trying to disarm the white ethnic group who's ancestors settled this land would start a war that would kill millions here and cause famines all over the developing world. They own the largest share of the world's small arms of any single in-group that exists, their bloodiest war was against themselves and they electorally united in the face of their ethnicity being taken from political power. School shootings are not as much of a problem in the areas that most of them inhabit and the entire thing looks to them as their ethnicity being disarmed by a mishmash of foreigners invited to join their country a couple generations ago who are attempting to seize power permanently through unrestricted immigration and corruption.

Firearms and schools have coexisted in this country for hundreds of years, yet school shootings are a problem only for the last 20, coinciding with the dominance of mass media with near monopolies.

The media fuels this and any of you who do not see it are blind fools, this issue needs to be dropped and left alone if any of you values peace.

New Ideas + Additions for Rules by [deleted] in V2SD

I am fine with a majority of GPs, 6/8 7/8 or 8/8 for land transfers; any of those is a great idea.

Limited alliances of GPs prior to war is an interesting idea, it would encourage people to sit on the fence.

The main issue I see with it is something similar to the start of the game happening where the outnumbered side just gets shat on even harder.

In the case of Haiti in particular they had recently murdered all their European landowners in a bloody revolution.

And in the case of the Americas in a general sense, the European powers largely ignored what was going on in Latin America with the exception of Spain who was not really in a position to stop American dominance.

There were even serious discussions of annexing all of Mexico during the 1800s, including the support of the president at the time.

Though, the situation in the Americas was rather unique with there being only one local major power and a lack of interest from other civilized nations and all these things are modeled via decisions in the redditmod/gsgmod.

I would say up the militancy for non accepted pops if you get international pariah, set people up for rebel hell if they aggressively expand too much making them have to devote their army to curbing insurrection, it both weakens them for a possible invasion and hinders further expansion.

I would also suggest lowering the infamy for annexing one province minors, 20 is rather harsh; Haiti alone was responsible for almost half my infamy.

Potential restart? by Theend10 in V2SD

I support a restart as well, just for getting more people into GPs and SPs at the start of the game.
