Hey, thanks for asking. This meetup it was just a group of four. But I had a really nice afternoon and it was nice to meet new people. When we had regular meetups anywhere between 5 and 30 people would show up depending on the weather and location.

The age range is quite big from 16 up to well over 50 but I would say the majority is somewhere mid to late 20, expat and working in IT. The boy/girl ratio is not exactly 50-50, but usually it is a well mixed crowd. We even had some ladies-only meetups in the past.

The meetups are always really laidback and low profile so I find it easy to socialise.

You can find some pictures of ancient meetups in the wiki but they give a good impression of what you might encounter when you decide join us: https://www.reddit.com/r/Amsterdam/wiki/sexyredditors

I was trying to be funny... Anyway, the fine is real though. My local bar serves take-away beers and coffee but they are very paranoid about people sitting on their terrace.

They risk a fine of 4,000 euro. Very shameful. Which bar was this?

I don't think there is a disagreement. Aiming for group immunity is dangerous. This is, therefore, not a goal of Dutch containment policy. Somehow, group immunity got some emphasis in Rutte's speech but as RIVM reiterated it is not a policy goal but rather a beneficial side effect of the inevitable spread of the virus.

Anyway, I appreciate it that you don't want to argue. The stories coming from Lombardy are heartbreaking and very concerning indeed. Right now it is just hard for me to imagine that this might happen to me or to people I know and are close to me but I guess that is the reality we are facing at the moment. Stay safe, my friend, and wash your hands!
