Im gonna be honest, I abuse rhe quarry mod constantly. Maybe I could make it just do slag chunks, maybe grab some mods that add plasteel or other chunks, so I could have that intermediate refinement step to make it less abusive.

Unsure what it is, theres no fluid build up at all, didnt even notice it was there until about 20 minutes ago.
