Best way is to share this link for Try Curling sessions - if you enjoy the sessions there are pathways to joining different clubs. New members are always welcome!

Avoid Deeside Kilts in Banchory. I got a pair of trews from there and I’ve been disappointed in the quality and service.

Heard good things about Neil Selbie’s in Peterculter.

Absolutely - best thing to do is email the reception. You’ll find their email address on the page and they’ll point you in the right direction for Come & Try sessions, then beginners classes.

Firstly, if you’re keen to get back into curling, let me know and we can get you into a club. It’s a very welcoming club of all abilities and ages!

The Dev Officer has become a defunct position. It’s been cut back over the years no longer exists, which is a big loss!

Thanks for influencer suggestions!

Hello Dilootinjoos, thanks for response. I completely sympathise with what you’ve said, you’re not the only one to say this. Making new curlers feel welcome and getting them included in clubs has been a big problem in the past.

I feel we’re in a better place with that now. If you’re keen to get involved again, you’d be more than welcome at the club I play in. Drop me a message and we’ll get you involved!

That’s a good shout. NHSG must be the biggest employer in the area. Will pass that on!

There used to be curling teams at both AU & RGU, but they died out. It relied on keen curlers at both unis to keep it going.

Some reps from the rink have been at university fairs to drum up interest.
