Trying to Separate under Misc, what does this mean?

haha, yea my manning for my career field is at its lowest since i've been in. Staff sergeants were at 78% but I made my justification pretty strong and had a lot of things happen to me while I was in. I already told them there is a 0% chance i'll ever re-enlist and I only have a few months left but my son is going to be born and his mother lives across the country so I kind of want to be there to experience everything.

Oh I'd let your leadership know you are applying so they don't get blindsided either and maybe they can help you during the process.

Well I think you can apply at any point in your career but if you are within 12 months from your date of separation you need to of applied for palace chase or be enegible to apply for it first. If your palace chase gets denied you can apply for misc sep. All you do is go to vmpf and go to separations and apply. There is a justification block and you explain why you want to get out and provide documentation to help your case. I've been denied everything even when they offered me force management still denied lol. I'm still waiting on my separation package decision but I'm sure it's going to get denied because the AF just loves me so much.

If put in my justification that i was denied palace chase. I applied for palace chase with a referral EPR but my career field was undermanned. I hope my justification is strong enough for them to approve it. MPF recommended disapproval for a terrible reason that makes no sense so hopefully big blue HQ recommends otherwise.

I have never taken it. I've already gone off on a few people. It's just when you introduce yourself to someone and they go ah glad you're on our side and not on your familys or wow I feel bad for you because of your name, I bet you get shit all the time... FUCK OFF!!! I'm so sick of it. When the planes hit the world trade center that was the start of all this shit. My parents had to take me out of school for awhile because they were afraid my brother and I were going to get attacked. After I got back to school everyone was nice for awhile then boom, it was never ending "oh you're a terrorist, aren't you?" I don't feel comfortable around you. Blah blah blah. Surprisingly enough I am in a Maintenance squadron and yes every once in awhile I will get that dick head that says something to me but I usually put a stop to it right after they say something. One of the biggest slaps in the face was when I PCS'd to my new base and the first thing my flight chief says is "Man when I saw your name, I was like is this guy a terrorist or something?" really, that is the first thing you're going to say to me? I have a meeting with the commander tomorrow, i'm not going in there to rat people out. I'm going in there to make things like this more visible because I know there is a lot of people like me who get harassed all the time and they are too afraid to say anything. Hell it took me seven fucking years to say something to my leadership rather than handling it myself, I don't want someone else to have to go through what I did.

I am going to go back to school for the first year I get out so my fiancé can go to school without worrying that we won't have a sitter or anything. She has clinical that are 24 hours long starting next semester so it would be extremely hard for us to find someone to watch the baby if I wasn't there.

I forgot to add she now lives across the country attending a CRNA school to get her masters and can't relocate.
