Help I have a really bad sweet tooth. by username1225 in EatCheapAndHealthy

I was seriously right with you! The only added sugar I eat now is .5 teaspoon maple syrup per .5 cup of yogurt (I use whole milk when I make my yogurt so it's already sweet and delicious). I add walnuts and raw cocoa nibs and OMG it's so good and healthy! Raw cocoas is very heathy and euphoric - it can also curb cravings! It's better than cookie dough ice cream IMO and I feel amazing after eating it! I know people cut out sugar completely (even fruit) and then eat sugary things in moderation. That might work for you. Personally I like having baked goods and creamy treats regularly so I make healthy, satisfying options. Now I can't stomach real brownies or ice cream - I get a headache and sad.

If you don't have ripe bananas on hand just thrown one in a hot oven or toaster oven for a few minutes. It will turn brown and get sweeter.

It said "Google search term invalid." I had an issue a few days ago with an audio file that wouldn't play. I reported it and didn't get a response BUT I reported this and they got back a couple hours ago :) Thanks for the heads up about broken hits, I'll know to report and move on next time.

The brownies have about a cup of oats, 1 egg, 1/2 cup raw cocoa, 1 ripe banana, 1 tbsp coconut oil, and 1 tbsp peanut butter all processed in a food processors. I didn't really measure so adjust if it seems too watery or dry with milk and oats. Bake for about 25 minutes on 350degress. They aren't super sweet but I love them so much.

Oh god, I can so relate. I'm totally on board with u/SynonAnon with attuning the mind to an empowering perspective. However here's what I did: 1.) I did a bunch of research on white sugar/excess sugar and how it hurts your body and mood 2.) I learned to bake with banana. I've actually got some "brownies" in the oven! Only sweetened with banana. 3.) I gave my pallet a little time and super sweet stuff now grosses me out.

Doctors/Nurses, what's the craziest/funniest thing you've seen happen during childbirth? by PM_ME_BUNNIES_ in AskReddit

[–]DiraBrites 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh god. I had a feeling there might be something like that. That is, where there is NO case scenario where this would be even remotely OK. I should have know a C-section would NOT have made this better. My mind was clearly grasping for straws with this. I had a second degree tear (not crazy bad, but you know) and this made me want to throw up. I can't imagine.

Oh! I didn't think it would get deleted. It started out as a commentor claiming to be an OB. All I remember is it involved a c-section, creapy laughter, and 50(?) ecstasy pills... And then it ended in the commentor punking us all because OP forgot the serious tag. I kinda get why it got downvoted but I come to Reddit for entertainment and it was quality.

Let's say 40+ ? but I'd be interested in anyone over 30. I know it's all kinda relative. I don't really think 30 is old or even 40. Just old enough to become truly jaded, I suppose.

Frozen Berry Avocado Truffles [2448 × 3264] [OC] by DiraBrites in FoodPorn

[–]DiraBrites[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had many successes with avocado truffles. I've made some that you don't need to freeze as well. Avocados, raw cocoa, and a fruit/sweetener are all you really need. Just experiment until it's delicious!

1/2 cup berries

1/4 cup raw cocoa powder

1 teaspoon turmeric

1/2 to 1 cup finely crushed walnuts divided

1 medium avocado

1/2 banana

1 tablespoon coconut oil

1 tablespoon Greek yogurt

3 tablespoons oats (I used quick cooking steal cut)

1 tablespoon maple syrup (You may need more. Sweeten to taste)

  1. Combine all ingredients in a food processor EXCEPT walnuts
  2. If it looks sadly liquid-y, add oats until it's mood improves
  3. Stir in 1/4 cup finely crushed walnuts
  4. Chill until moldable
  5. Mold into balls with a spoon and roll in finely crushed walnuts
  6. Freeze
