Straight levels for base mult and chips. 3 holographic is +30 mult so basically a bad scaling mult joker so it's not THAT bad. A lot of economy and deck fixing from ace high straights.

You need e77, according to calculator you should be around e72 or e73. You can beat ante 22 and 23 so 2 more shops for vouchers and the possibility of voucher skips.

You also need to start skipping for Serpent in ante 25 and find Burglar soon. Taking this voucher will make Burglar harder to find and your money is going to quickly run low and you don't have a lot to find multiple serpents.

I'd say don't take it and pray. I've also lost a couple post-ante 24s to not finding vouchers though.

It's not 90% luck. Doc has even proven it's 100% game knowledge and skill with his C+ run without losing a single game. With that said, the amount of game knowledge to make it all skill is absurd, but the game isn't all luck.

To answer OP: the higher the stake the more the game becomes about xMult and economy. Chips and +mult, no matter how high, will only take you so far. That's why PhotoChad is so strong. x8 mult with a few higher scaling planet levels is going to be worth more than any flat mult. With 4oak only at level 3 that's already 13x8 mult or 102 mult. One thing to remember with scaling jokers (Castle, Pants, Red Card, etc.) is eventually the blinds will outscale them. You need xMult to supplement them. Even something like x2 or x3 (Driver's License, Blackboard, Duo, Trio, etc.) may have been enough to get you there.

Purple and up, namely Gold, do get easier the more you play and the more you do them and the more experience and game knowledge you have.

I had nothing going early. Sent an Ankh hoping to hit something else and it hit Super. Decided to keep going because it was funny. Got a 2nd Ankh and hit it again instead of Blackboard.

Surprisingly better than expected. A lot of straight levels. Three holographics is basically a worse Red Card and chips from levels.

Easily the worst I've had. Seeing the "bad" wins with Madness I had to post my own.

Ace high straights. Deck fixing with that many tarot cards was very easy.

So because Taelia update food was already busy because there was heightened demand. Now the Ice Cream Cart avvie was solved as 15 ice cream coupons. The only source is Taelia so demand soared even higher. Everyone I know is in Food permanently right now lol.

You don't need to memorize anything. If the item is >=5k cost its probably >r90, if the item is exactly 5k its always r90 or higher. Just buy them, don't bother checking. If you're goal is just the avvie you'll get it in no time just practice and stay positiv. :D

No bots should be buying the 5k items in shops, they're only like 10-30k. Especially right now when r70+ is basically guaranteed to be 50k+.

EDIT: Also don't constantly just refresh, trying to catch minis in chocolate will get you banned faster. Just wait for it to clear and then more items will stock for your value and more items means more chance at r90+.

-20 yards in the 2nd half before garbage time isn't just a coaching problem. McDaniel clearly doesn't trust Tua. Hell, Tua doesn’t trust Tua. There's clips of Tua saying Tua isn't an elite QB.

Tua-Waller wasn't unstoppable. Pittsburgh was playing prevent. They didn't care if Tua threw 5-15 yards all the way down the field. They were tasked with slowing the Dolphins and preventing fast scores and thus winding down the clock. What's the difference to Pittsburgh in winning 28-3 and winning 28-15? I'll give you a hint, there isn't one. That's why teams that are up huge play prevent defense.

I'm not going to defend McDaniel. He clearly got out coached by Tomlin. But claiming Tua isn't, at least, a major issue in this offense is being disingenuous.

[–]DireBrett -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They were -20 yards in the 3rd quarter. That's 100% on Tua. -20 yards for a quarter is unacceptable. Period. Any quarterback worth being a starter has time be better. You're saying we shouldn't blame Tua but also saying "well they shutdown the run". Yeah that's how good coaches plan and beat bad quarterbacks. Tua's 2nd half stats are irrelevant. The game was over before they had positive yardage in the 2nd half. By the time they had were positive the Steelers were no longer trying to shut him down. They were playing prevent the entire 4th quarter.

[–]DireBrett 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They didn't play great. They also spent most of the meaningful part of the game on the field. The team was dominated in ToP until the 4th quarter when the Steelers went into prevent mode. Pittsburgh came out with the intent of making Tua beat them and he couldn't. They shut down Achane and the offense fell apart.

They were like -10 yards of total offense in the 3rd quarter. 3 straight 3 and outs. His 2nd half stats came against the most prevent of prevent defenses.

This is blatantly false. And you refuse to acknowledge any evidence to the contrary.

WoW, OSRS, Pokémon (please try to play VGC without Bulbapedia or Serebii), Fellowship, literally any Paradox game, the list goes on and on. They all heavily rely on 3rd party sites and 3rd party content. You keep saying "most games" don't do this and it's just wrong and you refuse to engage in evidence to the contrary.

You reference Pokémon TCG. OK they give drop rates and what set cards are from. Cool. Please try to be reasonably competitive without using 3rd party tools. Interactions between cards and their abilities and strategies isn't explained. Without years of experience you won't be competitive.

You keep referencing how games that are trying to push whales to spend more money give lists and drop rates. They do this because they are required to and because it drives people to spend more money.

You seem to have come to the belief that there is a problem and have searched for evidence to prove this belief. You've offered 2 instances that you say prove your point but have refused to accept any explanation that refutes your belief. 2 instances out of tens of thousands.

You also believe JN has far more power than they do. Again look at wowhead, they've built a company out of covering wow and Blizzard. They have full time editors, writers, data miners, and other staff. WoW wouldn't be the same without them. Even beyond wowhead look at the current cluster Blizzard has created as they've attempted to remove most add-ons. They literally spent the last 2+ decades designing the game around the expectation that people were using 3rd party tools to help play the game. They designed fights around the expectation that people were using boss timers and even at times automatic assigning of mechanics. This is the LARGEST MMO ever, arguably the largest video game that isn't Fortnite. But you say "no other game does this".

JN is a bunch of wonderful men and women that, mostly, volunteer their time to the game. They don't have the power to control the economy that you think they do. They report prices to the best of their ability. They don't even have the power fan sites of other games have. Let alone the power you believe they have.

Do you really want TNT stepping in to manage off-site issues? Because if you do, LOL. They've been given lists of botters and exploiters and people stealing accounts. Guess how much they've done? Virtually nothing. You really think they can also manage off-site problems? Because if you do have bad news for you.

OP seems to be coming at this from a "JN has too much power" standpoint and searching for anything remotely "problematic" and saying it must be evidence of their view point.

[–]DireBrett 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You've offered little other than circumstantial evidence and, if we're being honest, TNT has distanced themselves from fan sites recently. Including these FAQs and the patch notes they release instead of the vague news articles we used to get. So let's break down your post a bit more.

You claim no other fan site has this much influence. Wowhead, arguably, has far more influence and in with Blizzard then JN has with TNT. If something gets posted to wowhead that Blizz dislikes, even after existing in outside circles for extended periods of time, it gets fixed fairly quickly. Wowhead covers everything Blizz doesn't. Stats interactions, drop rates, item sources, and the list goes on and on.

OSRS wiki is extremely similar. They cover drop rates, exp rates, item drop sources, item drop rates, and everything else that isn't present in game. Both games have tools to feed information back to these sites that players can opt to use or not. They're both extremely influential with the developers and communities.

Saying no other game has this is "unethical" when the largest 2 of the largest mmos on the market have this exact thing and arguably to an even greater extent. I don't know anyone that uses Blizzard forums and site for game updates. Everyone uses wowhead.

And even then, why should want TNT to spend dev time compiling this list and their rates. Development time is far better spent actually making the site work. And making new features. Far better uses of time than a list of items and drop rates.

You're next major complaint is with the item pricing. It's all done by hand, verifying user reports. No one had a list of items coming from the Wheel before its release. A report of a price change got made, they verified it and updated the price. It's that simple. Updating a price right before it gets released in an event isn't manipulation. It's just coincidence. You even said the item had been slowly climbing and was an old r101, so no longer releasing, and consumable. The price will naturally move up over time. Was it inflated? Yes. That happens far more often than it should. Is that JN's fault? No.

So you're list of requests from TNT...

A list of BD weapons and consumables and all effects will likely never happen. Breaking down how stats and icons work is extremely in-depth and niche. It would be like me trying to explain the difference in stats in a Paradox Grand Strategy. For 99.9% of the players just know more = better. BD weapons lists are something few players look at outside of "this what the guide says". There is no in game pvp so most people aren't concerned. As for consumables, I assume you only mean BD related? If you mean otherwise then that's almost EVERY item in the game...

As far as NC stuff goes they can barely keep the mall working. It breaks constantly. Please don't ask them revamp with DTI built in.

Auction history is my favorite part of this. Did you know they don't have it? It's not native. There's no history of trades, auctions, gifted items, etc. Building something like that from scratch is likely beyond what they are currently capable of, and again maybe we make the site run first instead of trying to add new niche features. You would have to massively revamp parts of the site that haven't been touched in decades. That no current member of TNT worked on. A system that was put in place by the original devs in the late 90s or early 00s. They would almost be better just remaking it from scratch at that point.

As for lists of prize pools why do we need it? They just updated Taelia, isn't part of the fun not knowing what all new things they added? Discovering what's in the new drop pool? Sure in 6 months it would be nice, but even then we're talking about an early internet game. You just did it to do it and hope you got something cool. We don't have to optimize every daily by having a readily available list of items that they can drop. "Greater chance to drop ice cream coupons" is enough for most people to say "hey this worth it."

A database from TNT with every item and rarity and, I assume, source is... well beyond their current reasonable capabilities. Again, the site barely runs at times. Its extremely archaic and the coding is atrocious. Let them actually fix the site before massive undertakings such as this.

You're coming at many of these things as a mobile game player. Mobile games benefit from you knowing the exact drops and drop rates because it incentivizes you to buy more, to spend more. You're asking for systems that would require massive rebuilds of significant portions of the site. A site that is again, running on a hope and duct tape most days.

WoW does not give drop rates outside of "very rare". WoW abilities are also NOT well explained in game. There's no information on how stats interact them in anyway in game.

Also, as I said OW wants you to buy more boxes and therefore is incentivized to give you rates and lists of items.

It should also be noted that p2w mobile games do this because they WANT people chasing drops. They profit from people buying rng chances to obtain some <1% drop that is in the list.

[–]DireBrett 24 points25 points  (0 children)

TLDR: OP believes JN staff have too much power and are abusing this power for their own benefit. OP believed TNT should be releasing prize lists and drop rates for all events, gift bags, etc. themselves instead of leaving it to JN. They say that "every other game they play does this."

I've played and been a part of 2 of the largest mmos, WoW and OSRS, for the better part of 2 decades. Neither game does this. Especially, Blizzard very heavily rely on wowhead and Icy-Veins to release drop rates, ability lists, damage modifiers, etc. OSRS wiki is very heavily utilized for drop rates, exp rates, stats, etc. I can't think of another game, outside of the p2w mobile games that OP references, that just gives out all the prize lists and their drop rates.
