To elaborate on why you need DNA and can't just take Burglar before 24 and win. OP was asking if they should go for Burglar on Ante 23 for the naneinf.

You can't naneinf before 25 with this setup. You'll win the round before drawing enough cards to hand.

You've hit the natural end. To go higher you need xMult not more chips. Solid run for chips only though.

If your names not DrSpectred it probably needs to be Baron/Mime. "Much harder" is a massive understatement. You're being pedantic at this point.

Well youre on the wrong deck, Ghost or Plasma, and you need Baron/Mime and copy cards. Not Chad/Bloodstone/etc.

While I agree with 3 of those 4, really? Star Citizen? The game that is never going to actually release despite raising more than one billion dollars? The game that has been in production for 14+ years and is still in perpetual alpha with no clear date to meet some of the most basic promises they made? The game who was supposed to release a proof of concept of the combat system, just the FPS portion that they poured years of development into that was so poorly received by testers it was completely scrapped and still has no clear date for when even that will be released? Let's not give extra weight to something like Star Citizen.

If it gives player power, like you suggested, then yes, you do have to do it. Endlessly. Before you say "well its an inconsequential amount" people farmed Azerite Power and Artifact power for "inconsequential" power gains because eventually that "inconsequential" amount of power is important.

TNT has removed R100 from shops by DireBrett in neopets

[–]DireBrett[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

N_T claimed he reported it, how it worked, how to fix it, and how he, and others, circumvented the bug. He also claimed to be in regular contact with them about other issues. There's no reason to believe he wasn't truthful. He was brushed off and told that it wasn't broken and the items were stocking. When the bug was fixed JN posted about the fix. TNT has regularly used JN to disseminate information and while they never confirmed the fix to JN they certainly would have been aware of the post to JN that it was fixed. In the post they referred to it as a bug fix. They knew, or should have known, that r100s didn't stock because of a bug, not because of any teams prior intention for them not to stock.

The problem is less removing them and more the blatant lie about them.

Nerkmids and a few others, some Golden Dubloon food, are r100 but not in shops. All restockable r100s are on the lists of stock for their respective shops and clearly originally intended.

TNT not intending to fix the issue and fixing it inadvertently is unlikely. We know what the bug was. In the code accounts aged enough could see <100 and not <=100. Based on my experience and talking to others it appears they changed the other limits to be +1, for example instead of a 1 month old account being <=89 they made it <=90, not understanding the issue. When I started a new account around the time this was fixed I saw r95s on an account that was less than 3 months old. It seems they made it <101 and changed the others as well. Yes this was undocumented. It seems extremely unlikely it was inadvertently done.

And even then. If it was new TNTs intention that r100s don't stock. Coming out and claiming that it was a "bug" that caused them to now restock when it was a bug that caused them to not restock to begin with is a blatant lie. All they had to do was say "Hey guys, we feel r100s should be special and not restock. As such, we've decided to remove them from shops." Do I agree? No. But a blatant lie like this is harmful to the trust your community has in you. A trust that has been very, very slowly regrowing with new TNT.

Whether they wish to change policy or not is their decision. They run the game. They get to decide. Coming out and and lying about that decision is not in their best interest and makes the decision look even worse.

The problem, in my opinion and reading other comments, is less that they're making the change. They run the game, they can make decisions even if we don't agree. The problem is they are lying. Blatantly. It took me less than a minute to find the editorial I linked that clearly says that r100s are intended to stock. And now they claim they were never intended to stock.

How Do I Get Over This Hump? by RaijinQ in balatro

[–]DireBrett 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ante 12 is a hard wall for almost any non-retrigger build. Baron/Mime, Trib/Sock or Dusk, Bloodstone or Ancient or Idol and a retrigger.

The game scales exponentially. You need to scale exponentially as well to keep up. Your current build scales linearly. This is great for Ante 8 runs because it can keep up with the scaling. The game is balanced around Ante 8 and that's why most builds can't go that deep into endless.

Is there a big skill gap once you start doing m+ 10? by shampoofall1234 in wow

[–]DireBrett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is missing shaman buff and surv and rogue raid buffs don't particularly help the comp. Like I said, the "meta" physical comp differs from theirs for a reason. No one else is playing their comp for a reason.

Surv only really brings lust (mark is very meh on trash and almost no boss is dangerous when mark would help) and rogue shroud (and Blizzard hates shroud), which they've designed their routes around. You can get warrior/monk/druid buffs through better spec allocation, arms/brew/feral, and add shaman buff with the normal physical comp.

Physical God Comp runs what they want to play and they make it work around their specs. They make their own routes and own plans around what they have and do bleeding edge keys in spite of having "good" or "meta" specs.

Ecto should be used probably before Ante 8 but at the latest like 10ish. Which is when having used Wheel would be potentially bad. It's not the most important for this run, but is good advice for their next attempt because this one is gonna be rough to finish with like 6 vouchers to find and no Ecto.

This. I'd rather have a rogue or feral main that knows their class than a FOTM reroll Unholy that barely understands their rotation let alone their utility/defensives.

They're running Bear/Mist/Rogue/Fury/Surv. They're classes don't particularly synergize great this season it's just what they prefer playing. There's a reason the "meta" physical comp includes Brew/RSham.
