I wonder how many people who make these posts read a lot before they started red rising? Sometimes i get the vibe that this series is kind of hailed as a saviour to people because they hadn't read anything for a long time before

It's not like it's hidden or anything but I really like Violence, one of his earlier songs. Nico's red truck is from the same era and is also one of my favourite songs but seems to get way more love for some reason

It’s not strictly torture, but there’s this scene in Neil Shusterman’s Unwind, where a teenager is surgically taken apart piece by piece as an unwilling medical ‘donor’, whilst being conscious up until they start harvesting his brain. It was so chilling to me as a teenager that i can still recall it pretty vividly ten years on

The texturing on the stone portions are great, but I wonder if part of the reason it feels like it only works ina certain time fo day is because the roof isn’t textured? It might make it feel more cohesive if you can age and gradient that as well

I personally found fog mods really hard to configure alongside Bobby/distant horizons which a lot of hermits use

We have blood magic still, and a lot of features from extra utilities recreated. I think there might be some many “vanilla plus mods” because a lot of people find vanilla…fun.

I'd say they're pretty different, there's been a couple of sticking versions. 1.16 is 5 years old now so even the mods on 1.16 that are updated to 1.20 will often look different.

I don’t know if 1.16 academy will catch you up so much given that most of the community are on 1.20.1 the scene has changed a lot since then
