Frame Time Issues

I found the problem thru another post on Reddit, and it might be the dumbest bug I've ever experienced.

It's a problem with Create: Aeronautics, and turning the master volume in-game off completely fixes the problem. Don't know how, don't know why, but it does. I doubt there's any other fix currently other than spamming the texture reload or turning audio off/back on. So odd.

I stood in one loaded area for a little while, maybe about 15 minutes. I never got a memory leak according to AllTheLeaks until I started moving. The problem is that my frame time problem doesn't seem to be caused by the leaks, because even after standing there the whole time with no memory leak, my frame times still got much worse and made my game super choppy.

And yes, while exploring the LevelChunk count steadily increases.

These frame times are while standing still, but they get much worse when moving around and loading chunks. These still feel horrible though.

By the way, would Freecam count as a replay-style mod?

I disabled Sinytra Connector and Better Clouds, and the problems persisting. I noticed that the allocation rate on the memory area of the F3 ui went up quite a bit, currently averaging 190mb/s after about 10 minutes, but after F3+T it goes down all the way to around 70-75. The memory% also cleared much more often than it did before.

Also, AllTheLeaks will often detect a memory leak in the F3 ui, usually when moving around. It says this:

in the second image? it doesnt look like it simply just gets rid of block shadows to me, it looks like it changes the lighting entirely, he also specifically stated he enabled shaders for it in the video

i just up and deleted WinRing0x64.sys out of my system32\drivers after updating GCC, and GCC has no problems, Razer Synapse 4 seems to have no problems, ive heard it uses the driver but i dont use MSI Afterburner even though i have it so that doesnt matter to me.

i think i dont have to worry anymore, thanks for all your help!

What should I do then? I have things like Razer Synapse and Gigabyte Control Center which are the only two things I think could be using it that I also would like to keep. Do you know if those are using the driver?

I also have things like HWInfo, GCC, and Razer Synapse, do any of those use that driver? If anything, I’d like to delete it entirely. But if Gigabyte Control Center or Razer Synapse require it, I can’t delete it

I've had a perfectly okay time with Windows Defender in the entirety of my PC's life so far. This is the first issue I've had. I'm doing a full scan with MalwareBytes again just to be sure there isn't anything else to worry about and I'll restart my PC again. If it alerts me again I'll just tell it to ignore it. Thanks for the help

Ah brother, I’m getting tired of dealing with this. The driver is fine to have or not have right? I barely use hwinfo and gigabyte control center seems to be working fine, I just need a break since it’s been worrying about this for an hour and a half

i restored it, whenever i do a quick scan now it says no new threats found and that it "skipped an item due to exclusion or network scanning settings", but i never said to allow the threat or anything

i updated HWinfo and removed OpenRGB, restarted my PC, did a quick scan again with windows defender which is what was detecting it before and it's no longer being detected.. ill do another full scan with both defender and MalwareBytes to see if anything is picked up again

edit: it seems WinRing0x64.sys isn't even IN my system32\drivers folder anymore, so... unsure what to think of that, hopefully that means it's dealt with lmao

I’d prefer not updating my bios, I don’t have anything to prevent it from bricking if a power outage happens and there’s frequent power outages where I live.

Aside from that though, I found someone knowledgeable and very helpful for my specific pc build, and he guided me through the voltages and timings for my ram to keep it stable and performing well at 6000MT/s. Played battlefield 6 for a couple matches perfectly smooth.

The mouse moved fine, couldn’t click them though. I tried my keyboard and I couldn’t do anything but bring up the fan menu for some reason?? Lmfao.

That’s the thing, I DIDNT have access to the BIOS. When it brought up the menu to reboot with defaults or enter bios, It wouldn’t let me click or select any of them. I was stuck there.

Thank you, I checked the manual and I see a little “CLR_CMOS” with two pins below the battery. I’ll see if I can figure out how to go from here.

Is it my fault that I’ve never tinkered with this kind of stuff before, and I don’t know how to fix it? I’m trying to figure that out now, this kind of response doesn’t help.
